Funerals are for the living not the dead. The point of a funeral is to see them for the last time(which is why bodies are preserved to look as natural as possible) and comfort and fellowship with the loved ones. Showing up or not showing up to a funeral does nothing for the dead, it’s the ppl still here who’s gonna come with they bs opinion about somebody showing up or not. Not showing up to someone’s funeral does not equate to u not caring or loving them. You’re suppose to give ppl their flowers and love while they’re here to receive it not once they’re dead and gone. Folks will never show love to a person living but show up to their funeral falling out with the crocodile tears like them and that person was so close smh.
Regardless to if that guy did anything for the child, it's still his child too. This could have been handled way better than this. Sorry for yalls lost.

i agree to an extent, you may not have to honor them but i wouldnt be disrespectful either. When that time come to be judged you’ll be judged off the things you did n how u reacted, the why won’t matter. Just like when it’s time for that parent to be judged for not being there, the why they wasn’t there won’t matter.

Parents should value the children they made and support them emotionally, physically, and finacially because they didnt ask to be here. That's just like a child abuser or predator being given respect just because they're your mother or father... Makes no sense, does it?
