The Kelpies are located between Grangemouth and Falkirk, Scotland. The Kelpies sculpture is 30 meters high and constructed of steel. It was designed by artist, Andy Scott and completed in 2013. The mythological Kelpie could shape-shift between human and waterhorse appearance. People would warn their children to stay away from the water's edge or they would be taken away by the Kelpies.
The artist wished to honor the legend and the workhorse that helped build the country. The Kelpies are located in Helix Park in Grangemouth/Falkirk, about 25 miles west of Edinburgh.
