QUOTES:
“Meditation is the biggest gift that I can give anyone. And I would say, more than anything, it is whatever reason for success I’ve had.” [8:37]
“You only have to know what the best things to do are. You don’t have to have them all come up from your head. And for God’s sake, don’t be overly opinionated! Just because you have that opinion, it doesn’t mean it’s true.” [11:08]
“I got into the habit that I suggest you get into, that other people get into. Whenever you’re in a situation where you’re making an important decision, just pause. And write down: what type of decision was it? And why did I make that decision that way? That’s writing down your principles. It’s kind of your recipe for success.” [23:28]
“If you worry, you don’t have to worry. And if you don’t worry, you have to worry.” [46:08]

I discovered for myself that the best time to learn something is in the time of need, and not just random in the moment interest. Random and spontaneous is okay, but there will always be that need to make it relevant to your immediate needs. When we can do that, we see the value and usefulness by having a need for it before discovering it. Also, experience is the best teacher. One thing leads to another. Typically it starts with a desire, that desire leads to what becomes necessary to have it, necessities, then those necessities have needs that are to be strategically satisfied, these are called requirements. If you can appreciate this logic/protocol of happening, then the connections you make will help you map your necessary path that becomes your life plan. Basically, you can use this desire-necessity-requirement protocol for having anything at any level. You are the planner, and you decide the topology and real-time reality determines the order, timing and necessity, at the pace of business and your ability to respond. (gotta have skills). You only arrive at an understanding when it has been important and meaningful to your desire to know, be, do or have that something you desire. Your brain doesn't care with the occasional interest or distraction, but when you give something that special attention that triggers a need within, intrinsic needs, only then will your brain see it necessary to work on assessing the relevance and value of a thing, idea or person. Our brain is eager to make the next connection that leads us to another and doesn't know how to stop, it waits for you to accept defeat and failure. Until then, your brain is eager for you to concentrate on what is important to you, and have laser-like focus so that it can receive new and fresh clues needed to deliver on those desires you set your heart on achieving or having. If you don't have any dreams or desires, then you are bored and lack aim and have no purpose to align yourself to. This is when somebody else will employ you to serve their needs, to help them fulfill their dreams. Life will find a way to put your value to good use. You can become self-aware and decide for yourself or random happenings to find a place and direction for you. Somebody will value you for your value or basic ability to do labor. You have to invest your time, mind, money and energy in learning new skills, grow your vocabulary to enhance your ability to interpret new ideas. I like expanding and elaborating on ideas because it helps me to reinforce their value into my mental constructs. Good luck.

9:01 the two selves 11:33 meditation as thinking laterally less than linearly? 11:53 are you altering the two selves or understanding the two selves? 12:30 you're creating a connection 14:03 now you're triangulating with others... We're on the same mission, right? Let's all go above ourselves. 18:43 the two big things 19:03 how to fix the blind spot barrier by going above yourself to orchestrate all the different ways of seeing 22:38 this has happened before (and to other people) what kind of thing is it I'm dealing with? 23:36 "why did I make that decision that way?" Those are your principles! They're just your reasons for making your decisions and what matters to you. 26:18 life gets easier because it's not all bits and pieces. It's just reality. "How should I deal with this reality?" 31:11 don't worry about what they think but about the thinking that got them there. 31:55 the two of you have the path to rise above the problem. That's what "principled thinking" means. 34:22 in all relationships, there's a question, "how are we going to be with each other?" 35:28 do you want that terrible life? Don't be so trapped! Realize there's a big world out there. Decide where you want to go. Own it! Either you have a great relationship...or you move on! (!!) 44:58 "struggling well" will get you what you want. If you realize that, then you will go to the struggle. Same thing. Go above it: "am I struggling well?" 46:46 GO to these [uncomfortable] things and enjoy it. You can treat life like a puzzle. 48:50 enjoying the struggle. You're getting stronger, but that's what you will really want Secrets revealed

Great Content!! Every single second is an opportunity to change your life, because in any moment you can change the way you feel. See the things that you want as already yours. Know that they will come to you at need. Then let them come. Don’t fret and worry about them. Don’t think about your lack of them. Think of them as yours, as belonging to you, as already in your possession.

I was always suspicious of the Law Of Attraction and visualization but did it anyways consistently (just to make sure it actually works). Well, so far, it really did... I've visualized myself starting my first business - and made it happen. I've visualized myself scaling to 7-figures - and made it happen. I've visualized myself moving to Australia - and made it happen. I've visualized myself selling that business - and made it happen. Of course, it has to be backed by action... but when you start having dreams about what you're visualizing, it's usually a good indicator that your subconscious starts figuring things out...

I'm 63 and had the mega set back experience.. not blaming circumstances, I'm taking responsability.. and delving into online entrepreneurship where peope are light years ahead of me.. #Principles are "the equalizer" for those who are attuned to them I'm learning. I wish Ray Dalio was my grandfather! He seems to be such a nice person. I've been through the biggest high and one of my biggest lows in my life so far this year and I could see that, for the low, there was a pattern that was coming back again (I become a workholic when this happens). I decided to go seek help this time and, though it's tough, I feel like I'm getting through it better than the first times. Somebody was asking me what she could do to help. I was like "Not much more than what you're doing now. It's a tough time. It just has to pass." I always remind myself "This too shall pass." whenever I feel like things are just getting worse. Oddly enough, things are starting to fall back into place somehow, some things just won't, but most things do. Your videos really help with keeping my head out of water.

@s s Well, I actually think Neil's interview was much better than Dalio's. And yes, I'm easily impressed. I like everyone who's way smarter than the average. In fact, he's inarguably the biggest star in astrophysics nowadays. Like him or not, he's brought the easiest-to-digest physics concepts to many people's lives - and not many astrophysicists have done that apart from Carl Sagan or Stephen Hawking. If you're not impressed by that, well, you're either 1) a hater or 2) a troll.

Tom, the coolest thing happened while I was completely absorbed in watching this and listening to Ray. At 52:20 when he is giving his reasoning on saying why 45-55 year olds are the most unhappy age, his message made us both shift our posture at the exact same time in the exact same way. It was really cool to see another example in my life of what I learned from Tony Robbins about mirroring in NLP. Thank you for another great episode, I don't know how long you must have been trying to get Ray Dalio on your show, but this is a real example to me of manifestation. My name is Justin and I had my life crash between going from phase 1 to phase 2, and I wanted to tell you that your show is an invaluable resource to someone with the freedom to do anything, and you help me to build my compass of meaning. Thank you for your service

Holy Cow! Only last week I was thinking how awesome it would be if Ray Dalio showed up on Impact Theory. He is a great guy with lot of insights to share but gets interrupted often during his interviews by the hosts ( cough...cough.... Patrick Bet David....cough... cough....Gary Vaynerchuk). But Impact Theory audiences know that you are a great listener who does his homework right. Glad you invited him here. Also, bring MJ DeMarco on the show. Great guy who practices what he preaches.

No judgement passed, but my personal opinion for those have commenting he did not dive in to practical examples or clearly state “tools”, I’d suggest giving it a few more listens. Thank you Tom for the interview, and thank you Ray for the insight. He gave the correct principles to get through anything, regardless of the situation. It boils down to how you handle your life paired with Tom’s vision of tapping into your human potential. Finding your path in life with directions from lessons learned not only by you but experience from others. Make it easier not harder! 👏🏽
