Thank you Ajit! My biggest take aways were the idea of "micro-serving" through posts, and the idea of storytelling creating a sense of humanity and relating. I have struggled with becoming a coach as the "salesiness" felt incredibly ego driven. I was an Expressive Arts therapist and Art teacher and have determined this is my calling, to combine those things and serve through the power of creativity. This episode above many others that I have listened to has solidified the concept of self-acceptance and service through my lens. Many thanks!
YES! You've got it Christina! I love what you said and even more, love that you have this awesome background in Art to integrate into your coaching and the service of others!
That’s awesome! Biggest takeaway for me ...I am trying way too hard and spinning my wheels, when all I need to do is simply be me. Story sharing is my next step. I think people just want authenticity; I know I do. Thank you!!
The comment about 90% teaching vs 10% talking about yourself and your perspectives. I’ve leaned HEAVY on teaching bc I have so much information in my head that I know will be helpful but I hold back on my personality or perspective bc that’s more vulnerable and I was perceiving it as less valuable. So as I make content going forward, I’ll open up a bit more with my stories and perspectives. Thank you! 💚
YES! You nailed it! Thats fantastic that you have so much info and content and when you bring more your personality into the equation, people are going to get even MORE out of what you share! Keep up the great work!
What a fantastic interview with Jason. Thank you Ajiti there were so many gems of wisdom. I am in this exact position I have created a course 7 Steps to Heal Yourself from IBS. I did not know how to see if my content was relevant. The idea of 30 facebook lives is daunting but a brilliant way to see if I resonate with my audience.. I love the story of the hair cut I am also very short sighted and always wonder what my hair will look like when I put my glasses back on. I love the analogy that it will grow back and will use this with my clients❤.
Starting my own coaching business during Covid lockdown- Have signed up with you guys already but seeing this has been so valuable, content creation has been my block as I have had no idea what to create, thinking I had to be 'revolutionary', when I can use my own stories. Thank you
WOW! Best lesson wver by Evercoach by Mindvalley. Thank you tons! Best time spent today and learned so much- i am saving and will rewatch again. Thanks Jason and Ajit.. feeling very grateful ⭐️💝🌺
The premise of creating content with the intention of how it makes the consumer of the content feel really resonates with me and reminds me of a well known saying from Maya Angelou - "People won't always remember what you said, but they will always remember the way you made them feel". I think this point of wanting to create a feeling with your content more than always focusing on having a new profound insight, not only removes the perceived weight that approach drops onto the creator, but also encourages the writer to put more of themselves into the content because the focus changes from the head to the heart. Really great video. Tons of value, AND the playful, casual interview style between the two of you produced so much ease around the topic.
Thank you for such an amazing video! I just found this video now it popped up on my feed. It is exactly what you are talking about in this video. You make content and you never know someone two years down the roadsomeone will need it, and look that person is me and probably many more. So thank you for creating this video it has changed my life! i connected with you guys on so many levels it has sparked many creative ideas to create!
Awesome! Watched twice & will rewatch again! I shared with my coaching friends! This is exactly what I needed to hear as I begin in this world! I have already been doing parts of this & now know that I am on on the right track! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Amazing Anitra! I'm so happy to hear it was valuable for you and gave you the validation and permission to keep showing up and staying in the game! Lots of love!
Loving the synchronicity of this! This just popped up in my feed after I posted a video called "People in the Travel Industry Need to Hear This" - where the key message was that the folks from the industry I used to work in - would benefit most from learning how to make content during this time of fluctuating travel (A bit of backstory - I was a Dubai-based flight attendant for most of my twenties, and then when I came back to Australia to resume a career in communications and marketing, no one would hire me 😬 and of course, it totally made sense: even though I had a matching degree, my work experience didn't match the roles I was gunning for. So in a bid to still work in marketing, I started a RU-vid channel - which didn't only catapult me into the marketing industry - it changed my life and introduced me to a whole new world of scaled impact. It was through this that i realised the *_power_* of communicating through content!) So now - both through practice and experience, I cannot help but share how life-changing this one skill is. Kudos to this video for unpacking the elements of content creation!
What a powerful journey, Kristine! This is so amazing! Human interaction and relationships are all about communication, and a great tool for connection is storytelling! We totally recommend watching this interview with expert storyteller Sarah Snow, it could bring great insights for your RU-vid channel: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J5RGxTqSDZ8.html ❤
@@mindvalleycoach thank you so much for the recommendation!! I just peeped it now and already have a feeling that it could not have come at a better time. Thank you again, I’m looking forward to watching the full video! 😊😊
Awesome! I like how he described Ajit as the lazy most productive person he knows 😀😀😀. Perfect description! Ajit actually looks lazy but we all know how productive he is and how he inspires us with "lazy-productive" style 😄
Thanks so much for this. To be honest I am slightly less confused than I was before.. but I like to think I am getting there gradually.. not sure where but I think I'm getting there..
This is great, David! Sometimes it takes time to process the amount of information we have around us. Just keep going and identifying what really resonates for you, and you'll find your way! Thanks for sharing :)
wow I really loved this interview. I have been struggling with content and it has become a real chore to do. I have been applying the story approach and it was fun to hear. What I take away is the contageous energy in this talk and the lightness and humor that brings back the fun. I have taken notes, will save this video and I somehow feel different now, so a big THANK YOU to Jason and Ajit!
Thanks for the powerful sharing, Arabella! We're so glad to know this interview has brought you some valuable insight because, as you say, content should be fun! Don't forget to enjoy every step of the process and let your personality shine through what you do! We're rooting for you, keep us updated :)
Absolutely awesome, thank you for bringing everything back to communication and real connections. Love how you are presenting this information and your generosity in doing so.
8 months later still awesome content. Very very useful, especially for me personally now testing some new ways and more Courage to share me with my (potential) audience. Thank you for the great, authentic messages👍
I was literally laughing when the comments were flying about Ajit's hair and Jason's eyes. Hahahahah.... Great interview. That story part is something I intentionally refer to as personal metaphors where I find real life stories and embed it with a lot more nuances that communicate something very specific. I am currently practicing that with my channel
Fun energy between you two! Great overview of dissecting content and tying in with everyday experience story telling and what it is I want to be known for! Thanks
That is awesome! This is I think the first time I have watched such a lengthy interview! I really find it very useful and interesting that I watched it till the end. Great questions Ajit..it felt like you were asking all what I wanted to know. And the answers felt so honest, deep and yet simple. Every time I star to write, I fear that it is not going to be unique, new... feeling much confident after watching this. I really liked 'ego vs service'. Thanks
Thank you so much for this! I have really been struggling in this area and you helped me clarify just in time to really launch my coaching/consulting/speaking business. Bravo!
I am a life coach .Today I met a friend for coffee. She told me a friend of HERS may well be having problems with self identity and her sense of purpose.Shes a stay at home mum I suggested my friend tells her friend that I could help her if she is ready and to call me for a 10 minute conversation. So yes, getting out in the world leads to possible clients!
Awesome, I just want to thank you for sharing this, your both ware amazing, the best thing for me it is the passion you two have and the simplicity of the language, I really appreciate it.
"Content creation is a micro-service." "Content is a long game thing." Seems like the content I create becomes my resume when people are going to look back at my past posts. Oh my! I am guilty of looking at the vanity matrix.
Hi there this is Jamila. I am very interesting to start my new career as a life coaching which is something I’ve never done in my tire life before. I am hoping to take a class for six months in February and I have been listening the hell out of your RU-vid videos and is very educational and I am I’m very pleased with what I’m hearing. Any suggestions you could tell me about before I start the class or when I’m starting my classes? Love Jamila ❤🎃
I loved this interview. So much was said. I’ll have to watch it again. I liked the 30 days of FB lives to gather topic ideas for a course and the last hack about the book..... how would I say this in my own language?
@@sheritabagby4855 YAYUH!!! I love it!!! YES, going from "content constipated" to "content diarrhea" as one of my students says, is a powerful place to be! HAHAHA!
This was lovely and interesting to watch. Wanted to inquire.. I am just going to start posting content... For a newbe like me, using Facebook live or dropping a video on Facebook... which one will sink in more to my audience
Great question, Leilah! Both ways work, but it'll depend on your audience, so the only way to really know is to try! However, do keep in mind, a Facebook live is great for engagement with your audience but you need an audience to watch you live for it to work at its best. If you're just getting started and don't have followers yet, it might be best to start posting content to build an audience before going live. If you do have some audience already, you can go ahead and try both, and see which works best for you (or both!). Hope this helps :)
@@mindvalleycoach Thank you... allow me post this here... I randomly by accident watched one of your video a few weeks ago... but i have never stayed the same.. I feel I have grown as an individual... This might be a wrong forum to post this but didn't know else where... i trully appreciate you guys. Evercoach, mindvalley and all the teachers you work with... You guys are amazing... My prayer one day is physically attend your event better yet speak to the audience.
Hey Leilah!!! Love that you are jumping into content! If you can do Facebook LIVE that would be amazing! FB loves when you do lives AND its a great way to really create intimacy with the people who follow you! Good luck!
