I wish Mr Maponga would learn that true intelligence in conversation lies not only in speaking but also in listening. Important topics none the less, very eye opening. Thank you.
@@evelyn_rampolaYes sis..the truth is that as an African nation, we've lost our culture hence we are suffering from generational curses. We need conversations like this to be reminded of who we are. Understanding of self will give us a direction that we need to take in order break these curses that we are suffering from, and regain all the blessings we lost.
im 20 and ever since i listened to my elder JM my perception drastically changed in a polite way , i can now perceive things as i am not as they are , much appreciated my elders, ntate chigaramboko mambokadzi
Thank you..!! Thank you..!! "Bishop.." Maponga.. You ARE! simply 1 of the very few.. most genuine.. NATURALLY gifted African Leaders[hips].. there are.. I have closely followed your channel for 'quite' a while.. I cannot.. will not.. compare myself with you (1-2-1).. that is absolute.. But, in my own 'little' way.. I hugely admire.. appreciate.. and indeed have been saying and preaching quite the same message.. amongst the community I belong.. You are a REAL.. VERY STRONG.. African Leader.. I hugely respect and admire you.. Good health to you and all your team at all times... ÖAÖ (OAO)
Greetings &Grand rising Ubuntu family! Great to be in the presence of Grandmaster Thau Thau & King MJ & Queen sister there 🙏🙏🙏🇰🇳🇰🇳 Nemetoka visiwa vya carrebian St Kitts & Nevis 🇰🇳🇰🇳.
Thankyou so much for the inspiration and insight s. We are learning, and learning from you children of the soil of Africa makes more sense because we must all cleanse ourselves from the foreign toxic waste.
ke kgale re lapa melala rena mamptja, jwale rea leboga lehono ge le fegolotse se borala bakgalabje. Thanks to the Afrosavy team for making my wish & dream come true, I love you guys.
Beautiful convo I think there is something exciting about the feminine energy, notice how you all speak at the same time almost unconsciously uncontrollably when talking about the MA energy ❤
I never thought I'd see Thau Thau & Joshua Maphonga sitting together regardless of what Thau Thau has expressed about JM in 'Unpopular Opinion Podcast'😏... Two knowledge loggerheads spitting wisdom that is profound & indigenous.
That’s colonizer mentality they still got us in fighting with each other comparing who’s better or who’s smarter or who should do this and the next man should do that. Why can’t people just give thanks ?
I'm cooking and doing washing at the same time now I can't go out and hang my clothes.. Guys please we need another episode with more Spiritual Conciousness Evangelists may be 2 more please... Phela Siyayphusha Lento And Iyahamba Lento💜❤️🙏Thank You Gogo Wethu
Every African without history is obsessed with our history We have NOTHING with West or South Africa Who are you people and why are you obsessed with our ancestors the pharaohs?
This history must be taught throughout primary and high school - across Africa. Colonizers and their surrogates will never support, let alone promote this empowering knowledge . #Enlightening #Enriching
I disagree - taking turns is a purely Western phenomenon. Listen to African music and you find rhythm - but no structure. Do you realise that "African music" has rhythm but no structure? That's why it can not be duplicated!
You know that is why I tell people that I'm a computer, wich has been designed and programmed to function in one way. You know wich is in an African way, and I cannot say I'm an African and think and also dream in a western way. You know and I cannot say I'm an African, and not leave my life and also do things in an African way. You know in simple terms of English, we then start to ask ourselves these question what kind of an African person will I be?😲🔥🔥
African cultivation and planting of seed truly involved women. My ambuya or gogo planted pumpkin seed, maize seed and men could do the ploughing. We have lost our culture
Ntate Maphonga please check your ego, hearing from others perspectives is how we grow and increase our outlook. O ska nyatsa motho o mongwe, ithute mo go yena. I say all this with love
Lets find a way to put it in the education system... Make it a part of making a family tree and izithakazelo as a long going High school Project for all learners that end at the end of their school Finaly year, and they also get point system that is connected to it.
Inasmuch As travel is open within their continent, Europeans are Very Nationalistic. I am all for reverting to our King/Queen-dom territorial boundaries.
I am a great fan of VaMaponga but i think on African culture and tradition, Uncle Thau Thau is a little bit ahead of him coz he grew up in it. As for Maponga i think he is an expert on analyzing the hypocrisy of Christianity as he took time studying and living in it.
Everything name itself indeed. From Egypt ba re tau ke "rw" because ya" rora"/it roars Now "rau" became "tau" where r was replaced by t. Naming was based of characteristics of a thing(sound, shape, etc).
This lady should be Ghost lady from Podcasts n' Chill... Her voice nje... I've always wanted to see these two (Thauthau & J Maponga) sitting together, But J Maponga doesn't give others the time to speak 😅
2:08:57 It is at this point I heard the echo of Frant'z Fanon in Maponga J's utterance. With reference from his book titled 'The Wratched of the Earth'.
Culture comes from the word cultivate ,and modimo comes from badimo which is those who have passed on and modimo which is the living one which refers to you
We have a long way to go in helping us remember who we are, what we can do and the effects of actions and inactions. Western media has done a great job in deceiving people to think things help better the human experience when it's one of the biggest lies. It's like the story of Shaka Zulu accepting a mirror for generational wealth keeps repeating itself and we still learn nothing.
Eish!!fuck!I cant listen to this talk because Maponga is "cringe" and so "unsettling ".He cant let the other person speak freely and finish his point..yerr must he act like he know everything..mxm nna wa mbora!!....He is like Abba Ayelew Amlak. Infact at times his tangents arent even contextual...he goes off topic...Mxm it makes me angry
Mr. Maponga, come back to Uganda and travel to Nebbi District and learn about Alur Culture. You will understand how brothers are made to inherit their dead brother's wives to reproduce children. Even when the brothers had some children already, the living brother also takes responsibility of raising the children of the dead brother.
As much as bishop maponga came to realise himself to the extent of abandoning that profession, can you bo gogo na bomkhulu spearhead the inclusion of african spirituality in those identified institutions of higher learning to ensure that whoever is leading them encompass IKS
Please the Media team !!can you do better for us!can we have Elder Thau thau haramanuba alone! Can we have the elder speak on the show about african spirituality!...not like he did with Zanemvula (on both of those talks he was talking alot about how he converted from Christianity not so much about african spirituality)....kea le kopa tuu!
He was christian, therefore wants christians, the majority of our people who are atleast confused between spirituality and Religion to try to innerstand because it's relatable to most I get him...just that to some it's like you will be confirming their religions.I hear you though
Religion ( like christianity and its cousin Isram or Buddaism ) (which is about just 2000 years old ) boundaries have encroached into African Spirituality culture that have practised for thousands of years if not millions of years now suddenly demonised have emposed trauma of African Spirituality culture
What I have discovered about the Bible is it is a book of life, you can reference it to anything. Which is what Maphonga did. Which is what sometimes ThauThau and Amlak do. Remove the religious perspective and get the life lessons out of it. You will find it to be the best book ever written.
