The KF101 Max S - Cheap alternative or Total Migraine? 😱🤞🤷‍♀️

KF101 Max S - Has so many Glitches & So few Features. Does the price reflect that? What are you willing to accept in a very Basic Video Drone?
** The phone holder is very weak and will only accommodate devices without a case. There is no available option to use any kind of tablet either.
For the money, it does fly reasonably well. But its telemetry is unreliable & could be dangerous.
I suppose it does have a place in a very strict budget plan.
Is it worth diving into more?

Glad I bought a DJI! I did buy a cheap non descript drone from Amazon that 'had all the bells and whistles' and lost it for 2 days on the first flight! Searched for 18 hours solid for 2 days (never found it, but a neighbours dog did!!!!!) But just decided to buy a second hand DJI Mini 2 with less than 5 hours flight time and 3 years old for $336 with a battery only charged 3 times in it's original box 2 sets of spare props and all the leads and controller. Never looked back, just needed to get my confidence back (I'm a newbie) after the first fly away, and I will always swear by DJI...moral of the story...SAVE UP AND BUY A GOOD DRONE WHICH YOU CAN TRUST! The video is not bad for the cost I suppose. But the tilted horizon.. blown out white balance.. jello and fishbowl photos and the dangerous telemetry.. makes it a tough choice even for a Toy. If I could ask for one thing... fix the horizon or at least have an orbit mode. It does have some interesting creative video options that I'll show next.. As I say (over & over)... It's $170 😉

It reminds me of an early Husband. Too bad none of the autonomous flight modes work. Also max flight time is about 20min. But yes.. the App restricts its capabilities.

It looks I messed with YT settings and didn't get any alerts for any videos. Now I see 5 more vids on your channel. I will catch them all. About the drone. I'm not impressed anymore as I was in a sample footage. Apps worked much better even 6 years ago at 5G drones which had just about (real)100m range. This drone looks too big miss to be worth 170$. I doubt also that 3 axis gimbal at so cheap price is worth. With so big horizon issues, would be maybe better to have just 2 axis gimbal. What I want to say, this 3 axis gimbal looks to be too cheap to be worth to have it. I think drone have too many issues to be worth to buying it.

I guess it's down to.. How much do you spend on a Toy? If the annoying glitches were fixed.. or even if it just had a straight horizon it would be better. The question is.. What is a Toy anyway?😂🤣

Hi GM, you sure are a glutton for punishment. I wouldn't pay $17 for that drone. I would take it up 120m over a pond and stop the motors. You should try the Potensic Atom for a much better experience.

I had to give it a shot... This time I missed completely!? .. I'd not ever bought a "Toy(ish)" drone before . For the money I wondered if it was any good. I definitely won't be buying another sub budget drone. As for the Potensic.. I will be getting their Version 2 (whatever that is). But right now it is more money than an X8 Mini. I got "Bait-n-Switched" and got a C-Fly Faith Mini (exact same drone as the Faith Mini 2 but a little better camera than the Faith Mini) (I will be doing an exposé on the sellers company soon..... Now THAT's a drone I wouldn't pay $2 for.. I'm thinking of doing a "C-Fly Faith Mini (w/2 batteries) Give-A-Way" ??

@@user-it5qe2zn8f : Quite true 😂🤣 But there is nothing new that has come out yet. I did get a few other drones but they were damaged and need replacements before I can present anything (I'm excited about the ACE2). This KF101 is a bit of a let down but it is purely software programming that suffers most.. For what it is (sub $200).. I am very impressed with the steady connection, range and video feed transmission.. If I could get a tablet on to this I might be a little happier.. but the glitches are so, so annoying. The question is... "What is acceptable as a "Toy" Drone.. & what price range is a "Toy" anyway?? It's an interesting question.. but no.. I will not be buying another Budget Blooper. 😂🤣

@@GorillamansGarage just buy fimi mini 3 and go for it all over again... You know you want to..!! And for for first time I decided to buy it.. Never had the prior versions. From there no more drone spending.. That's it I retire with what I have. At least I make my own battery packs for my v2 models and so they can always live on as long as they go
