I remember having some Kicker Solobarics in a sealed box … smallest box ever … people would tell me that lil ass box is making all the noise lol only played kickers and JL Audio subs ( currently have trio JL 12’s w6v1 )
Kicker messed up on the discontinue on the q class.i got 2 eights in a horn enclosure from mbe,sounds great but I been waiting since for solo x release to go sealed but the solo x 12 is not recommended for sealed.waiting to see if the 10 solo x has parameters for sealed whenever it's released .if all fails ill go jbl stadium sealed.the 12 has a sensitivity of 93 and plays down to 25 hz and a rms of 500.four of them will sound good sealed
When they say not recommended, it just means it may not perform as well as a sub who's specs are optimized for sealed. So you can run any speaker sealed. A sealed box is just an air spring. Your not gonna hurt it. If you specifically prefer the sound of a sealed box then go ahead and use the solo x, it won't hurt it.
I say it all the time... DO YOUR RESEARCH!! know what your buying.. i have high end suubs that ive paid far less than retail because i know what im looking at.
I remember some company made a sub that looked like the old cvr silver cone style sub identical to kickers sub but in the middle it had a Q ..I've been looking online to find them but with no luck ...I think I looked em up acouple of years ago and it was a q power ...probably the same company doing it again
I have the S10L7 and have been looking for the grille to protect it. The only downside to it having a grille is it completely blocks the cone instead of just the perimeter like the previous versions.
What about the QB8 I wanted to get two for the midbass to go with my two twelves but if they are discontinued completely it might be time to upgrade to the L7X
Yeah the comp q was gonna be the only q class at first ....but then they decided to make a square version ...biy comp q is hear to stay ..but the l7 q class it's gone ....I'd say they will redo the solo baric l7 shelf time is up ..time for new product ...l7s with more excursion 200 Oz motor ..if I was kicker I would make a new l7s
They’re the same parts but one is a circle. The L7 is an SPL sub before it’s an SQ sub, its nature is to be louder anyway. But the comp q dusts it by a good margin regarding quality and responsiveness. In my opinion anyway.
Geez no wonder i can't find a dual 2 ohm 12" Q-class ANYWHERE. I had no idea 😢. What should i switch too? anyone got any ideas? i was gonna put a second one in my SUV, but now it looks like im gonna have to go a different route maybe a single 15 L7 for the SUV? Or 2 of the other l7 12" that are still available, And throw the single Q-class i already have in the car. 🤷♂️
Definitely the two 12's I have them to and they slam in a shitty box with no sound treatment or anything upgrade your car and find the perfect box and you won't want anything else
Or if you want to get really loud drop your back seat and wall off your trunk and place the subs facing the back of the driver add the street series 7" to the doors and you will wonder if you need to downgrade trust me this is my current setup
It's not a knockoff probably. It's the same sub. They come from China. Kicker Q class is a Chinese sub as are most all subs. The ones that aren't are assembled here with Chinese parts.
You can't blame a whole country for the bad deeds of a few who live there. Just imagine if other countries blamed all Americans for the deeds of a few crooks over here. China is full of hard working people trying to make a living, just like us in the US. It saddens me to see people bashing whole countries.
