Just enjoy the show as it is written...it will get there eventually. So many humorous things happen in all episodes and advance the relationships for all 6 friends in the best way ever.

As someone already mentioned below... Ross had a very hard decision, keep something great that you have with a person you love, or risk something with someone you always wanted but don't know that it will go so well. It makes complete sense to want to put your thoughts on paper like that, additionally...The first thing Rachel told Ross, when he came in rushing mad because of her confession is that he was basically a bitch for not confessing to her... Meaning that if she was in the same spot she would a 100% have made at least a mental list or note of her feelings... Not to mention that Rachel literally started this whole chain of events because of a drunken mistake, there are a lot of things I don't agree with Ross with, but this isn't one of them. IMO Rachel was completely immature and unreasonable here, wanting what she can't have and ruining someone elses life in the process

Ross had a decision to make. He put his feelings down on paper. A completely reasonable decision. For that, Rachael threw a fit. How mature.

I don't think everyone has a list. I've never had one and can't imagine compiling a paper of things i don't like about my partner . If you can do that then maybe you aren't with the right person....
