We just saw them at Ocean's Calling this weekend. My wife and I talked about this performance. Even Dave took appreciation. It's always been my favorite.
Nobody can belt this song out better than he can , this is his song , in his era , nobody can touch him , this was his moment in time , i take my hat off 2 u Brandon
If you ever Mature you will understand those words ,careful you don't fall into a 2 inch Deep Puddle of water on the sidewalk cus you would Drown , dick splash
I just went to the concert this past Friday and talked backstage with Brandon Flowers. He is a total absolute rock star and great person. He shows you can both be a complete rock star and have class and humility.
It seems like his voice is going to break anytime, but he sings the whole concert without missing much tones, which many singers better than Brandon can't do, which is respectful. And without much help of a back vocals either! I am a big Killers fan, they just have that something...!
I've been a friend of the band since the onset, I've heard Brandon's voice break several times, only time it does break is when he gets too caught up in moments, like when the band headlined Lollapoolaza, his voice broke on Runaways then, when he gets too excited (which doesn't happen often) his voice will break, doesn't change the fact this is the most amazing band I've ever heard and seen.
that was literally the best runaways performance i have ever seen. the way you can hear the guitar clearly, the drums sound is to die for, and the how powerful brandon's vocals were. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY WOW! and even down to the high quality video, it was great seeing that flawless face of brandon ;)
The first time my wife and I went to a The Killers concert, she had barely heard of them. She jumped, sang, danced, even though she's shy. We had a blast. By the end of the show she was a fan. They are that unbelievable live.
Definitely yes! I'm so glad of being fan of one band that has a lead singer that actually sings live every time they are on stage and has no problem on saying that he actually took singing lessons for the last album, Battle Born. He is singing his soul out on this perfomance, and I love the way The Killers always give their best on stage. Their songs are so powerfull and have so much meaning. So yes, Brandon Flowers is a living legend.
As a long time fan of The Killers, this video shows just how much Brandon Flowers has evolved as a Great Singer. You see how he has learned Vocal Restraint (belting out every song will ruin a Singer's voice eventually) but knows how to give a Great performance! .
This makes me respect Brandon as a singer so much more. His range isn’t crazy but he’s so consistent and sounds so close to the record. They don’t use much vocal manipulation on him.
His voice, the melody, the execution, the drumming, the guitar the occasional harmony, I'm always on the verge of tears when I watch and listen to the Killers.
Taking singing lessons is the best thing you could do for a tour. Seriously. There's more to singing than just being on key. It's about saving your voice so that you can sing these power songs day-in an out. It's incredibly taxing on your throat and neck. Learning to relax in the right spots, can literally save your tour.
+1! I saw them at George Mason University in December 2012 (3rd row from the barricade) and I am still in withdrawl. It was without a doubt the most powerful concert musically I have ever seen. (Other acts I have seen: U2, Van Halen, Prince, Black Sabbath, God Smack, GooGoo Dolls, Jewel, and PussyCat Dolls)
I am so excited to see them live soon!! they've always been a great band. The songs they play are inspiring, relate able, fun, real, and bring back memories and create memories. I can tell when they preform they sing with everything they have. they are amazing and will always have a special place in my heart. :)
Ok yea his voice is...killer, but for the love of all that is good on this Earth that man is FINE. 😍😍😍 I'm feeling weak in the knees I need my smelling salts...
