i love this performance! it broke my heart when I hear, "and someone will drive her around down the same streets that I did." I remember someone whom I loved. I imagine the both of us in his car. His company was the best I ever had. N.T. be happy. you deserve it.
My one regret in life is that I wasn’t born early enough to see the killers during their peak, how I wish I was here to see this. I would have been 5 😭
This always brings me back to broken childhood- smile like you mean it even though you are broken and afraid as a young child . Brings chills to me now at 61 yrs. Hard to shake though I know it is no longer my reality🙏
This band is something. Honestly. Maybe one of the pop song writers in the 2000’s. What a lucky chance they all found each other and add such an important part.
Save some face, you know you've only got one Change your ways while you're young Boy, one day you'll be a man Oh girl, he'll help you understand Smile like you mean it Smile like you mean it Looking back at sunsets on the Eastside We lost track of the time Dreams aren't what they used to be Some things sat by so carelessly Smile like you mean it Smile like you mean it And someone is calling my name From the back of the restaurant And someone is playing a game In the house that I grew up in And someone will drive her around Down the same streets that I did On the same streets that I did Smile like you mean it Smile like you mean it Smile like you mean it Smile like you mean it Oh no, oh no no no
There is still good music out there dude...LOOK FOR IT! Taken that yeah radio rock sucks and there is nothing but mostly shite these days there is good music out there.
@@bigboab5898 He is. It's weird because when you listen to the killers' earlier music, his singing voice almost sounds british. If not by accent, then more by intonation. It sounds a bit higher class, like a upper classman from England singing without the accent, but with each bit of intonation that was already there.
Love this song, love this group, love this performance. With that being said, this is the WORST mix of a professional live act that I’ve ever heard. The vocals are so out in front that it sounds like someone singing over a cassette recorder. Otherwise I love it.
