I am sure there is. His slaves probably fled the homestead with McIntosh's wife and children after his murder. They fled to the Fayette County home of his cousin, who lived on Line Creek. Thanks so much for sharing your story and watching!
@@RagtopHistorian I've been researching my family history and came across this information. Due to being slaves, I knew there might not be a lot of information and documentation about them, but hoping there might be something. I'll continue to do more research and hope I can develop my family tree more. Thanks for your response and the information you've provided 🙂👋🏿
We will have to disagree on that point. He was greatly outnumbered by the Menawa and I doubt he fought them for very long. As for his hero status, I am sure you feel that way since he is your ancestor. He certainly is a legend. Thanks for watching and your comment!
@@RagtopHistorian there is a first hand account of one of the Northern Creeks that was part of the raid, he describes that he barricaded the doors and killed atleast 9 of them from the top. His wife's begged and pleaded to have him have a proper Indian Burial because he was a "GREAT WARRIOR". That's a 1st hand account not my bad because I am related to him. But in the wars that he did fight in he did display great skills and leadership leading to many victories. I understand you too have bias over your little PowerPoint, but I recommend you have a more thought out script rather then jus say a bunch of assumptions and half truths.
@@RagtopHistorian also its not the Menawa, Menewa was the cheif of the upper creeks (northern part of creek country) bothing based om racial class. (Another error you presented)
And the family he betrayed was my 6th, 7th and all the way back to my 14th great grandparents but we all will soon meet and talk again believe that 🇨🇺🇺🇸🪶
@@wallacemachagginsiii2488 ya except the lands were going to get taken anyways like the US government did all around the country. He was trying to get payment for his tribe atleast since he knew a way was going to be coming if they did not sell. But anyways wtf you talking about meet up and talk about this, cause if your implying you wanna fight over some shit from 200 years ago I'm down
Pfft of course they would run to Ware. I mean frankly he sold out his people in such a definitive and final way. Can you imagine? (As an American, this is easy to imagine) You do the crime, you do the time. That said, I think it would have been more appropriate to simply rope him up rather than torture + tear out his heart and bury him alive..however I can only offer conjecture.
Alexander Ware’s days were numbered as well, although it’s unclear why HE was murdered after he quickly moved to Texas… I’m surprised they didn’t go after Governor Troup! Thanks so much for being a subscriber!
