On this show, both songs they played came in UNDER 3 minutes, they have just 2 members, no bass, and no drums...yet they blew everyone else on the show that episode away. Primal dirty passionate sexy music. That's what's going on here.
@pollyout1 You're definitely right about the drum machine screwing up. To be precise it's at 1:12. There's some messed up bass drum hits in there that shouldn't be there. Jamie gives it some evils and then it rights itself. :)
@Redsparrowe123 graham coxon gets the very same effect on "on your own" i believe hes using a delay pedal set to a short delay time and just switches it on if in doubt google it
@afjwilcox I know! I'm obsessed with alison and people are always talking about her, which is good. but it seems like anytime i hear something about jamie, it's related to kate moss.
@sm0kingscr3amapillar actually i forgot to mention that i like them both too, but i like YYYs 10x better. They ARE different and shouldn't be compared in any way but I, personally, based on my own selfish opinion, thinks that YYYs just plays better music. I'm sorry. But I still like The Kills. Peace...? Guess not.
Allison Mosshart kicks ass, but Dead Weather is a lot better than this. I mean, there's no way that 'drum machine > Jack White.' Impossible. Still interesting, though.
