Exactly my thoughts, I cringed and recoiled so hard. I mean I watch some of the Golden Globes (I think 2016) and I see like Harvey Weinstein laughing with Cate Blanchett, someone who was also a victim to his stunts, and its so weird. None of us knew and that's extremely scary.

The thing is, the arbitrary silliness of it, the imagination of the humorous bits, the degree of torture for laughs, somehow could be a damn good acting class. Believe it or not the stuff Kimmel is doing could provide "aha" moments for serious actors.
