This period of clothing and overall aesthetic is by far my favorite. The architecture, furniture and interior design included. This is quality craftsmanship and tradition in its purest form.
The Lady in this video (Michele Clapton) is incredibly articulate. She also has such a unique personal dressing style. A true talent. Matthew Vaughn did a fantastic job finding her for this project.
So much respect for people who dedicate their lives to recreating the authenticity of a time period. Requires a lot of patience and knowledge and just general curiousity/passion for your craft. Hard to find these kind of people nowadays!
The way her mind works when coming up with the costume designs and how to make them both modern and periodically accurate to the story is fascinating. I hope one day I can be as creative and good at the skill as she is 👏🏽🤩
I find the clothing in any given film is something my eye fixates on throughout, and in this particular series, I absolutely love the style and colours of the garments.
I love all Kingsman movies. All of the outfits looked so good in the movies. Dapper, formal, and effortless. She did a great job on The King's Man. Hope to see more of these gentlemen in the future.
Such gorgeous clothes. All classic British in style. And the tailoring is exquisite, especially with the pre-WI twist, I do love a good period drama. Pity it is only menswear sold, I would have loved some womenswear, the fashion plates for Polly looked really interesting, I would have liked to hear more. Anyways really interesting video! Cannot wait to see the movie!
I suspect Polly will feature heavily in a similar themed sequel, so hopefully, if the Kingsman range continues, they’ll be options for the ladies. I’d love it if my partner and I could go on a few dates dressed like this.
I really like the how the clothing is wonderfully made and presented. It says a lot about society and about the individual how they cloth themselves. Wonderful video! :)
I love these videos about Kingsmen/King's Man's wardrobe! It's so well done and and explanation provides so much insight on what the designers were thinking! Great video and can't wait to see the movie!
Always give Excellence a "thumbs up" ! Great job, thanks for sharing and helping us understand the enormous work behind the movie. Details that really make a huge difference.👍
All those garments looked absolutely exquisite in the film, well done to the team behind the film, on their dedication towards ensuring all those garments were period accurate to the time, whilst also making them look timelessly suitable for the modern age and beyond.
Fun movie? I'd say absolutely stupid. Bullshit. At least the interprepation of the Russian history. LOL. Lenin accepting the abdication of Nickolas the Second. )))
This woman is an absolute genius!! Her work on Game If Thrones for most of it’s 10 years was unparalleled and everything she works on regarding costumes is spectacular!!
Watched The King's Man in cinema and it was a really good movie 8/10. Think it was the best film of 2021 for me. Sad it was a box office flop for so much effort and work that was done for the movie.
I love her work she turned me into a suit lover i can't leave home without one now and made me love double breasted suit and suits in general thank you
Meanwhile, the actual Mr Porter collection itself (linked in the description) looks bland, and has barely any visible connection to anything presented in this clip. 😅
Forgot Wilfred Owen.. sorry Michael. Hope you and all your family and friends are well. Ahem MILK STREET RIP Ian Kilmister aka Lemmy. I still drink a lot of milk. Always have always will.
None of this matter if the movie is "a muddled, unfunny and overlong mess" as per one of the many bad reviews and receives only a 49% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Vaughan as usual is all style over substance.
Mr porter is now becoming a joke. My over 500 dollar order for black friday was delayed for almost a month. Good luck for anyone who hand their money to mr porter.
