The concubine was so arrogant even before she was a “royal”. My opinion will always be, no matter how noble, a mistress will be a mistress and a wife will be a wife. He will never replace the queen; men will always want a pretty wife for show, a mistress for pleasure.

This story was inspired by an actual King and Queen and although it is mostly fiction, during that period, or the reign of that specific King, it was not possible for a Concubine/Consort to replace the Queen. There would only be one Queen/official and she cannot be replaced by one of the other women in the harem. It was a law by the previous king to avoid Consorts and Concubines from trying to hurt or depose the queen in power struggles. The King who this story was based on had only one Queen, although he had concubines and consorts. It was only after her death that he married and appointed a new Queen. And she was newly married into the Royal family and was not one of the women already in his 'harem'. Even records place his first Queen as his first official wife and second Queen as his second official wife. Neither of them had children and were said to be close to the children and grandchildren he had with his consorts.

rose 2 she was one of his brothers left over brides from the original selection of girls - he also liked sleeping around and saw her as more like an ornament, the most beautiful and envied but never touched. In other words she could only be his but he wouldn’t have her and no one else could either, Kinda sad really 🤷🏽‍♀️

She was the former Queen of the late King. But, she was not loved nor touched by the former King. She remained virgin until the late King passed away. By royal custom, she must be the Queen dowager but the present King is reluctant to replace her because in the past, he is inlove with her.
