From Leo: The Fender twin is my favorite. Mine is old and still sounds great, but it is a very heavy amp to carry around. I am thinking of having cabinets made to make it into a head and 2 X 12 speaker.
The Twin is beautiful! Love the sparkle. Nothing against the others however. PRS has some excellent product. You wouldn't go wrong with any of these. I love clean!
The SX is probably better..lol.. Not really ... But I put a nice squire neck on an SX one piece swamp ash body and It is pretty killer! Needed a .5° neck shim to get the strings low enough but I bet hardly any Fenders have a one piece body...
Started video, paused, typed this. 68 Fender Deluxe Reverb RI. Inexpensive amp, takes pedals great. Want it to sound like a Marshall, Vox, Supro, Orange? Buy a pedal. I learned years ago that one amp can sound like many other amps, but no pedal emulates a Silverface Fender Deluxe. No, a Blackface doesn't sound better, but there are Blackface pedals if you want that muffle sound. So there ya have it. 68 Deluxe Reverb RI. Best clean amp and best pedal platform. Laney Lionheart 2nd place because it sounds like a 68 Deluxe & Marshall JTM had a baby. Also a great pedal platform.
Forget the preamp tubes, they make no 'real' difference. Power tubes are more crucial. What speakers are in each of those cabs? That's variability is more likely to impart tonal saturation at gig volume.
Thats is Not easy in so different Play Styles goes in so different amp‘s The red Guitar isn‘t Right in tune, so my ears can‘t find ist good… My wish will be, left handed guy, plug your Guitar in The 4 Models, and we are able to crown The King of Cleans 😉
