Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami, after two tournaments alone (Iori enters alone since the '97 tournament, and Kyo, since the beginning of the NESTS saga), re-join with their old teams. The first joins with his old friends, Benimaru Nikaido and Goro Daimon (this one back to KOF after two tournaments off), in addition to his huge fan Shingo Yabuki, reforming the Japan Team.
