Tomonobu Itagaki (creator of doa & all ninja gaiden up to NG2) based his game engine on VF - which i also played along with DOA, TEKKEN, SF, Smash bros, Killer instinct, MK etc The lesson here is "don't assume things you don't actually know about people"
