96, 97 and 98 are amazing Intros, but I will never forget when I first heard and watched the opening of XIII for the arcades when I was on Vacation in Japan. I was so stunned!

KOF XI's intro is underrated as hell. It was short but the theme is very catchy the final scene where Kyo, Iori, K' and Ash lit their hands were awesome.

One of my favorite fighting game series (if not my favorite overall). SNK had some revolutionary 2D fighting games and had established some dope concepts that even Capcom "borrowed". To have fighting teams and set it up like a World Cup event...Genius. I hope they make another one soon because KOF 13 was great but you can't end the series like that.

blackchang1981 it's far from over a new game coming out for consoles has been in development for 2 years so far although they sai said it was 3d so im guessing it's maximum impact 3 which would end the judeim saga and one part of maximum impact sense as the creators said it's set in different universe sort of for kof.. but remember during the ash saga the orochi seal was broken so the newer saga will probably reintroduce orochi again and hopefully chris since orochi was using his body when he was beaten in 97 and went back to sleep

The Legend of the Neo Geo/SNK era. Capcom VS SNK Millenium Fight 2000/2002was a really amazing Fantasy Match-up it counts as a KOF game despite having the Mechanics (Grooves) of both SNK/SF Games.

Excelente, muy buen trabajo, el que se perdió alguno del los juegos aquí se puso al día de como fue evolucionando la saga, creo que SNK trato de incorporar nuevos personajes pero la esencia de KOF esta en Kyo y Iori, todo esta aquí bien completo, el audio y la imagen genial, ahora a ver como le va a SNK con KOF XIV, gracias TheAlucho

Just recently I've played all the main KOF games and the three dream match games and I've enjoyed most of those games. KOF is a fantastic series, kind of a shame it isn't more popular though. :\ Oh well, it is what it is I suppose. I am considering giving the Maximum Impact games a try. Just judging by these intros, they don't look too bad. But I'm prepared if they end up sucking.

+Aaron Denson It wasn't great but it wasn't that bad either. It's miles better than Street Fighter, Art of Fighting and Samurai Showdown animations. It was only used as a promotional animation for Maximum Impact 2. KOF at least deserved one shot for a direct video game adaptation that is loyal to its plot and characterization.

No EX2 Howling Blood intro? A little disappointing, but at least you got the console openings in this compilation. Actually I just checked and it turns out EX2 Howling Blood just consists of a single title screen and game demos with no proper intro include, hence why an intro is not here.

There were a lot of good ones here. For me, 2k2UM and MI2 were the best, but I also liked XIII (the second one), '98UM, and 2003, 2001 and 2000. I'd also never seen R1 before and really liked that one, too. Hated the anime openings and I've always felt the original ones for '99 and 2002 were among the worst. Some of these didn't feel like the real KOF though. _Even though they weren't the best ones, '94, '95, '96 and '97 (the Orochi saga) are nostalgic in a way the others can never be._

theres actually multiple "demos" in kofR2 intro... 1 for each main selection character. i forget if orochi team has separate intro from new face team.
