That was awesome to watch :-) My first true Lbz experience was last year followed by traditionally brewed dan song (lots of leaves tiny tiny pot tiny tiny cups ) I was on like no sleep the night before due to early morning ferry to meet my tea connection ..... I left that wonderful shop at a near physcosis level hahahahah 5 + years drinking young sheng didn't even prepare me hahahah I left humbled and grabbed two cakes subsequently with in the year ..... I could tell by watching your experience that the Lbz in your gaiwan was no joke either !

I'm glad you enjoyed the video! LBZ Sheng followed by Dancong sounds like a very intense combiation. And yeah, this tea basically stayed with me for the rest of the day! A truly unique experience.

I think I understand. In sheng pu'er, I always look for lingering aroma (or "after aroma" :) ) and after taste. When the lingering aroma is at least noticeable and nice, it's a good tea. Thank you for sharing your experience with LBZ tea, so I can make a better idea about it.

Yeah, exactly! It's a crucial aspect of the Pu'er experience.

How fortunate. You don't get true Lao Banzhang from paying absurdly high prices from the market due to severe adverse selection. You can only get TRUE Lao Banzhang from solid connections.

Yeah, connections really are everything. That's also one thing that makes research a bit difficult sometimes - there are a lot of things that can be learned about tea that you'll never find in books or on online blogs/fora, but only through meeting people, talking to them, and making experiences.
