They didn't change their concept. This is just a continuation of it, a part two. The first part was a member introduction. And now the real kingdom story starts. Right now they are on earth and all have lost their memories about their past lives and kingdoms. Only Louis, who is immortal, kept his memories... probably (and maybe Mujin?). This era/season is most likely about them starting to remember their past lives.
