I love your comment, “Meatloafy”. Really needed that chuckle this morning. You are right about Epic ! Ray and the band are Epic in my eyes. I love his voice and accent. He’s also a genius lyricist. ✌️
Bought the Face to Face and powerman albums from the remainder bin but it was full priced kronicles that made me a real fan. Ten years later saw them on the low budget tour. Had a great time following their recordings to the end. Faves are Preservation, Something Else, and Arthur. Honorable mention 'How Are You' 'Working Mans Cafe' 'Ducks On The Wall' so many songs of note.
Amazing such a great recording band could produce/play so well live. All those California and other "Wrecking Crew" bands that such great records that were basically having great singers and a great group of recording players who played the music while they sang. Hat's off the Kinks for being so great in the studio and on the stage. Another band that impressed me not long ago, although they came from long ago, was to hear the Hollies live, also Badfinger, etc. Of course, there's Jimmie Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, early Steve Miller, Grateful Dead, etc., etc. I'm sure you have your favs. Would love to hear what yours are.
I can't tell if the 3 dislikes on this song are because the person that made them was very drunk and missed when trying to like it, or if they simply had terrible taste. Needless to say this is a beautiful song in my opinion.
Yes a very good album from one of the under rated bands in history, but they did get air play here in Detroit. However that was then, if this album came out today i'm sure it would be virtualy unheard of
