This is the most anticipated Knicks season this century… the Melo teams were good, some others had their moments…
but in terms of expectations - the idea that the New York Knicks could be REAL contenders to represent the Eastern Conference in the 2025 NBA Finals - this season is as good as it gets.
They’ve spent YEARS making smart move after smart move - seeing the value in Jalen Brunson when SO MANY people were wrong about that contract

Trading for Josh Hart, signing Donte DiVinzenzo, trading for OG Anunoby, and then truly signifying their championship intentions this offseason by making THE big move… trading for Mikal Bridges.
The Knicks have created this unbelievably interesting modern roster full of shooting, size, defense, versatility… and one of the best offensive players in the league in Jalen Brunson to lead the entire thing.
BUT…
They are not perfect.

What will be really really interesting is since they all nova boys.....will the rest take pay cuts like Brunson did to bring in more talent....it's very possible or maybe Brunson took that payout solely so they can pay the rest of the nova boys. Yall doing to much everybody on the tram know its next man up when a mans down. Mitch score 5 points a game and 10 or so rebounds ,josh hart can handle the rebounds and points by himself and sims can play the actual position. Knicks good everybody need to relax, we seen what this team can do with a broken down roster in the PLAYOFFS y'all complaining about one player who barely scores. The grind don't start until after the all star break not the start of the season

Right idea to go small sometimes with a center who can score. Randall the wrong guy. He and OG shouldnt risk further injury by playing center . Hart, Morris, and Bates-Diop should spend time at the five.

In 2k randall at the 5 beat me i was the heat knicks had nice scoring and Randle battled against bam well in the paint on defense. But in real life i don't see it working because in order for it to work he would have to be the 4th option on offense. Is he willing to do that? Also on defense against those big centers.

I don't buy Knicks as a REAL contender. People are talking as if with some luck they have a realistic title shot, no the hell they don't, they need a comical amount of luck to win this upcoming season. I think they are only getting this Championship buzz due to them being a good team in New York. If i had too guess they loose competitively in the Eastern semis or loose somewhat convincingly in the eastern final, assuming the injury/opponent matchup situation is normal. I am convinced if you put this roster in the Pelicans, Hornets, Blazers jersey people will be thinking about a competitive 1st round exit or 2nd round gentleman sweep.

They should just suck it up and trade Randle for some solid starting center (Zubac for instance). I’m not a Randle hater by any means - I think he’s a great player and a definite plus for the Knicks, but imo they really need a center who stays healthy more than they need Randle, since they have Hart and Divincenzo as backups currently

@@wilmaso Zubac, and other centers at his level, are nowhere near scrubs. They are solid contributors and rim protectors. Plus, if you trade Randall for a Zubac-level center, you also get picks and probably another 1 or 2 background role players, which the Nnicks need since aside from Divincenzo and Hart they do not have a ton of quality depth

@@BigMac-50 What's the main reason the Knicks couldn't advance? Injuries. Bridges hasn't missed a game going back to HS. He is a good, 3pt shooter has a soild FG%, he's long and can play multiple positions. Plus, he's a great defender. We were holding onto those picks so we could use them in a trade like this.
