why is he especially good? I've never listened to this song properly before and my singer told me to learn it and it took about 45 mins to play it all by ear perfectly.
I play guitare since 10 years now and I've learned this one as quick as others songs. He just strumming chords ( yes they aren't the easiest for some of them but they are stil doable ). John Mayer, Tom Misch, Jonny Buckland and a lot of others are really more talented than him sorry.
The bass is meant to be a subtle instrument. I can guarantee you that when you take out the bass in this version you'll find that something is missing. That's why the bass is such an underrated but crucial part of songs like these.
I have always thought there was something 'really classy' about an Acoustic Bass, from the first time I saw one when JJ Burnell played one on 'Strange Little Girl' on TOTP. I love this tune and this is an amazing performance, but for my 'ear' that bass could have just gone up half a notch on the volume, cos he his playing it brilliantly! Cheers dx
@trufel100 lol yea he is but he keeps moving his hands in parts where he has nothign to play to not get out of rythm. those moments prolly made you feel that hes not playing. hes actually a pretty sick guitar player btw.
yeah I am sure you have, and I'm sure you told everyone that the AM are better than them. why compare music? it's a form of art. it is like comparing Monet with Picasso! you can't claim to know anything about the form of music unless you can appreciate all artists are unique and frankly, incomparable.
