You can actually shoulder the weapon with the brace. ATF doesn't classify shooting position as a change in the design of the brace/weapon.

Nfa regulation. looks like a rifle stock, feels like a rifle stock, handles like a rifle stock, NOT a rifle tock. its a pistol brace.

I agree about the ergo piece. Holding further down the side resulted in the heel of my palm being pinched by the hold open as that release snaps on the last round. Vertical grip it is for my SDP 45, sure happy there is enough rail on top for a light along with a red dot... It is super wicked though and sure turns some heads especially on the pistol side of my local range. Sits in the bedroom with a 30 full of HST.

Great vid - convinced me to NOT buy the 45ACP (or any KRISS). FTE caused low quality receiver material to break, ERGO issues, etc. - this thing isn't fully baked, maybe Gen III? I'll stick with my UZI 45 :-)) Thanks again!

Are those OEM GLOCK .45 mags? Most problems are mag related. Glock 13 rounders work great.

Because it takes a while to come out with a new gun, you should try testing out old guns, like an old Thompson submachine gun or even an M1 Garand (I may have misspelled that). I would definitely like to see you test out a Spas-12.

I'm surprised that the ejection port cracked. You think they would use a stronger polymer if not metal... Still, a fascinating weapon. I would definitely use this in .45 or a big caliber if the zombie apocalypse comes. Wouldn't modify it much except maybe a sliding stock and a SUSAT style scope.

Seems like a HUGE oversight to have the gun be on the lower and not the upper.

It’s actually not a rifle due to the caliber.. it’s a carbine regardless of the length of barrel.. a rifle that shoots pistol calibers are carbine no matter what ATF says.. ppl interchange words to justify legality.

Hi Andrew, what kind of luck have you had with those extended capacity aftermarket Glock magazines? Would you recommend them? Trying to decide between those, Glock mags or waiting for Magpul to release their 27 round versions (for 9mm).

As a non-American, the regulation surrounding firearms in the US sounds hilarious to me. You are not allowed to put the "pistol" brace on your shoulder according to the NFA. I am just wondering, what if someone holding a "pistol" with a "brace" happened to be caught in the middle out a shootout? Should he violates the law by resting the "brace" in his shoulder to improve the handling of the weapon like any stock supposed function as or should he respect the law and try firing with certain catch and limitations in firing an SMG-designed firearm like a "pistol"? Let's say he chooses to violate the law and neutralize the bad guys. Will he then be "decorated" as hero or branded as a criminal? My questions are pure curiosity, I ave no intention to make fun of this beautiful video or any laws whatsoever.

NFA paperwork is total horse crap! is what it is for now but absolutely ridiculous !

Just pickup up the Gen 2 in .45 myself. According to the user manual, the Vector should only be loaded with the bolt locked back. Thought I would point that out. Also like you mentioned and to anyone reading this: a vertical grip (recommend Magpul RVG) is practically a must.

Since when are regulations law ? The ATF only has the authority to write regulations to existing law. There is no law on how you fire a weapon.

Update to the atf you can shoulder the sig brace now there is no set way to hold a pistol.

I have found the difference in accuracy between my standard and SBR 45ACP Vector to be fairly substantial. At 20 yards I shoot consistently sub 2 MOA freehand red dot on the standard, and about double that on the SBR. For some reason the spread gets a bit larger when the SBR gets hot, while the standard Kriss remains fairly consistent. Not sure if it is the ammo, as I generally use Blazer. Anyone else see this?

Sounds like an awesome gun to own. I'm actually debating whether to purchase the vector or a desert eagle in the near future. BTW, as of the April 2017, arm braces fired from the shoulder will not be considered an SBR

love my gen2 45acp cant wait to pick up the 10mm for some smooth boar hunting. Interesting though right out of the box the thing was zero'd ready to go.

Looks like the ATF has reversed their ruling on stabilizing braces. 14544-presscdn-0-64.pagely.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/ATF-letter.pdf Excerpt: "If, however, the shooter/possessor takes affirmative steps to configure the device for use as a shoulder stock- for example, configuring the brace so as to permanently affix it to the end of a buffer tube... removing the arm strap or otherwise undermining its ability to be used as a brace- and then in fact shoots the firearm from the shoulder using the accessory as a shoulder stock, that person has objectively "redesigned" that firearm for the purposes of the NFA. THIS CONCLUSION IS NOT BASED UPON THE MERE FACT THAT THE FIREARM WAS FIRED FROM THE SHOULDER AT SOME POINT. (Emphasis added) Therefore, an NFA firearm has not necessarily been made when the device is not re-configured for use as a shoulder stock- even if the attached firearm happens to be fired from the shoulder. To the extent the January 2015 Open Letter implied or has been construed that incidental, sporadic, or situational "use" of an arm-brace (in its original approved configuration) equipped firearm from a firing position at or near the shoulder was sufficient to constitute "redesign," such interpretations are incorrect and not consistent with ATF's interpretation of the statute or the manner in which it has historically been enforced." [snip] "Again, to the extent the Open Letter was confusing, we appreciate the opportunity to clarify our position. Thank you for your inquiry regarding this matter."

The reason nobody is too interested in making a new rifle platform that is different from an AR15 is because everyone in the industry has this fear of parts availability for new platforms. SCAR??? NO PARTS AVAILABLE, THE GUN COSTS TOO MUCH (ignoring that the only way new parts beccome available is if people own the platform, and the R+D for weapons development costs ALOOOOOT) You will not find too many new platforms like the Vector because they are new platforms.

Hmmm you can shoulder it now with SB Tactical stock makes it much more appealing now. I'll still SBR to keep my kids from selling it when I die haha.

i bought one of these when they first were introduced, i could not get over the cons as you mentioned, i was constantly sending the bolt home on a empty mag, OR my hand was hitting the other side of the bolt release causing the bolt to stay open. I thought for sure the one i bought had steel surrounding the ejection port and not poly like the one you have there, i could be wrong. great vids, keep up the good work!

I own the .45 pistol and the recoil sucks! Not worth the $1,400 price tag. Also, the design flaws suck. # 1 the bolt release will snap out and cut the palm of your left hand on the last round. # 2 the pistols come with Left handed threads - so you need to buy an adapter to put on a silencer # 3 the idiots at the factory use red loctite to seal the thread protector on the barrel which will require you to cut off the factory thread protector. This weapon sucks! Get a Sig Copperhead MPX instead!

For 1400$ this gun has too many problems .Hope kriss will fix the problem with plastic ejection chamber, bolt hold open button constantly hit by accident ,magazine release button same reason . Good buy in the future , when they work the bugs out.

Anyone know of anyplace I could buy just the upper? That way I could buy the lower 'firearm' separate. The lowers are available on their website, but I can't find just the upper anywhere.

So let me get this straight, see if I can wrap my head around it. As the gun comes, it is not an sbr. If you add a grip or if you shoulder it, then it becomes and SBR hence the need for the Tax Stamp? May be a stupid question but I have a hard time wrapping my head around stupid laws.

This weapon feels kinda wasted as a semi auto, the full auto has like what? 1200rpm? which is just fucking insane and also why its sucha a good CQB weapon..

I don’t agree with America selling guns without licenses. Don’t get me wrong I love guns. But the vector is easily military grade, and America is selling these firearms to people with no experience.

Rim on a 556 is the same as a 9mm. Double barrel rifle 556 and 9mm. Change battery of bolt from 556 to 9mm then back to 556. Pencil barrels. top feed the 556.

that stock BS is so annoying they need to get over it, a gun shouldn't be classified by its barrel length, just it's caliber. (with respects to pistols and such)

for $1000+ guns you would hope your ejection port wouldn't shatter after one failure to eject i wonder if kriss would replace a busted upper since its a quality failure

Its not that its bad placement,its because its a completely different platform than you are used to using,just like a tavor you have to give it more than a day

How dumb is NFA regulation if it regulates using the stock against your shoulder or not? I could break the law by lower the stock 4 inches?

With the vector having a pistol length barrel and being chambered in a pistol caliber, why would you file sbr paperwork? Is it not a pistol?

So if I hold a glock against my shoulder or if I remove the pistol brace from one of my other pistols and hold that pistol against my shoulder I am breaking the law? I don't want to be the test case but silly interpretations of the law are just that silly.
