I agree with the complaint about the voice altering effects they add in post production, I'm an early enhypen fan and I still have trouble telling their voices apart in their songs because they're all made to sound kinda the same, even though they don't in real life. The only member I'm able to recognize vocally, without fail, is jungwon. I really hope Hybe will loosen up and let their natural vocals shine through more. Besides that, this song, MV and album were perfect !!!!

I completely agree, I wish there were more clips of Sunghoon dancing in the shower of blood. There's something so inherently insidious and poetically sick about him pirouetting while soaked in blood. It throws you for a loop. It actually gives me the impression that they, as vampires, drained their party guests.

I think they debuted with Given-Taken mostly, and this is just my opinion, for the fans. And by fans I’m talking about those of us who watched iland. The views for iland on cable network may not have been that big, but the online presence was big. And since we watched these guys grow, we already knew what they were cable of. Txt could debut with crown cz we literally knew nothing about them, other than their profiles which were given to us. If enhypen had debuted with a “crown” of their own, I think it might’ve come off as lackluster to those who were already familiar with them... because even though we hadn’t seen them all together as a group, we already saw their individual capabilities and strengths and knew that even though they hadn’t all been in a group together on iland, they’re amazing, and can and will rise to the occasion. And since they (Bh) knew that they already had fans even before debuting, they could take that chance and make this move, cz in some ways iland seemed like little mini debuts for all of them 🤷🏽‍♀️. This is just my opinion, and I could be way off though, but this is what I think.

a good theory i heard is that the video is jungwon's birthday party with flashbacks in the past. the style is much older in the flashbacks because they're immortal ofc. the point of the party is to lure more people into becoming vampires. sidenote: k and ej, who are werewolves, typically rivals to vampires, sneak into the party because they're onto enhypen's plan and they're watching them. sunoo's sitting alone with niki guarding the door to spike the drinks with his blood which would make everyone vampires. the lady in white is likely who turned (some of?) the boys which is why sunoo's actions at the fountain mirror hers. not sure why this leads to sunghoon dancing in a pool of blood but yeah.

I agree completely with the chorus part!! The way they made it a perfect representation of how it feels to be drunk, the distorted voice, the thumps you feel, how your senses just activate more, it’s just so realistic, I also love how they don’t tone it down during the whole song, it’s just so generic and almost overwhelming, exactly how you feel in a party with a bunch of people and feeling the music vibrations on your body. The reason why bighit doesn't incorporate choreographies on their mv is because they incorporate more on the story side for the groups own universes.

everything you said is true. especially about heeseung’s hair, lol. but when i first got into them, i had a hard time distinguishing their voices except for jungwon’s, his voice is very distinct and unique.

I feel like with Given-Taken they didnt feel like giving them all the budget at once so they just put them in an old crack house and a random field and they went with it😂 It just felt low budget to me even though thats probably not the case, but with Drunk-Dazed they nailed it

You should definitely check out their B-sides like Fever, Not For Sale, and Mixed Up those are so addicting too. In short this mini album is legendary

for so long i’ve been trying to find the right word to describe ni-ki’s aura and his vibe in general that makes him really stand out, and pd said it. *expensive.*

I also couldn’t imagine their comeback being better than Given-Taken, but Drunk-Dazed really exceeded all my expectations. The choreo, the chorus, the storyline and the acting in the MV were all top notch. I was particularly impressed with Sunoo’s acting, I could really see him acting in a K-drama one day (I’d actually really love to see him play a villain). The scene with Sunghoon in the blood rain was also eerily beautiful, but just like you said, we just needed to see a little more of it.
