another thing that stands out is that they left JYPe all together. They didn't leave anyone behind in that old company. They made a decision to leave as a whole group, pursue individual activities for the time being, and promise to come back as a group in the future. They reassured us time and time again that they would do so, the biggest reassurance being the release of ENCORE

The other interesting thing is Jinyoung wrote this song in December, Warner music wanted to release it asap. Warner music not only help them release this song but also promoting it. I Saw how Warner music from other countries keep promoting encore on their social media, Warner music Hongkong even make a event collab with local cafe to promote encore. GOT7 might be that first group in doing that... The not only speaking about keep together but make it true with their action. Honesty i trust them. I think we wouldn't have to wait for 5 years maybe in one or two years. I don't know how it Will work but i know they are working hard to keep their promise.

in my opinion, what will keep GOT7 together at the end is gonna be their relationship with one another. They may all go on their own path, but since they have all shown initiative to keep GOT7's name and brand, they will somehow find a way to comeback at least once a year

Got7 is one of a few groups who actually you can see how close they’re. They have such a unique and strong bound, they’re brothers. Jay B constantly feel like reminding people they’re still together, they’re still a group. And btw they own the rights to the name, songs, fandom name, they left we all of that. The mv gives a you a heartwarming feeling, it’s not supposed to be such a big thing with all the money and stuff. They recorded it before Mark leaving wanting to give us a prove that they’re not leaving

Another fun fact: Warner Music sub labels (around the world) has been doing an amazing job so far to promote this one single. BH, Sublime, AOMG, and Warner (Globally!) all promoted Encore. It was really cute and refreshing to see. Warner especially has very heavily promoted, and has been really engaging with ahgases. It feels like they want to prove to us they've got our boys and we don't need to worry.

GOT7 situation seems to be unique. Not only is Time Warner promoting them in different countries, but the guy's new companies are supporting GOT7 as well.

They officially left jan 19 and this was recorded in january 18...jinyoung wrote this last dec. they left as a group, not just left but they left together, and they are i say are very ready to venture out as a group and by themselves. They're very well prepared. If GOT7 said they didn't dband, then they didn't. If you're an ahgase like me, you know what i mean. tbh i think everyone felt a little unease when GOT7 left the company, i was the same. But I kept thinking "trust got7, they don't lie". and then ENCORE dropped and I knew they had truly meant what they said. GOT7 is different yall. Their bond says it all.

Got7 never leaves! Ahgase always asked them if there will be an encore concert they always said no. And then they put out this song one month after leaving JYP. It was practically a love letter to all their fans. Ahgase will listen to the song with a smile on their face and tears of course.

I think they’re committed to the group just need some time to process leaving JYP and want some time to go do personal projects/passions without having to work around their contract. And damn, think about Mark who hasn’t had quality family time in what, 7 years? Who wouldn’t want a little break. I think they’ll be back, and it will be damn good when they do. If they could churn this out this quickly with basically $0 budget imagine if they get some investors, backing, and have time to really produce and fine tune the songs. Best of luck to the guys.

when they said they were still gonna be together i wanted to believe but i also was a little bit skepticial however after they dropped this all my worries went away because they were showing us it was all true and they have such a strong bond that i know they can make this and much more happen

I don't really consider myself an active kpop fan. I listen to music every day, to all different genres that exist. And I go to concerts when I can, because I like to experience live music. But I don't really take part of the whole fandom aspect such as following their schedule on Twitter, watching their performances or knowing a lot about the idols when it comes to their tastes or the known facts. But despite that, I kind of felt like crying at the end of this song. Because you can just feel the friendship here. It's not the end of their friendship, of course, but it is indeed a new chapter for them, and the song made me feel nostalgic in a way. Hearing the fans singing "encore" at the end was a powerful emotion. I think that in a way, it shows the got7 members are strong. It must have been hard for them. I will enjoy my memories of the concert I attended, and will for sure attend a new one if GOT7 ever do it again. I guess I'm being sappy right now, but seeing the fans at the concert... How I wish I could have seen them one more time. Their voices during concerts are truly one of a kind. (I think I will forever remember hearing JB and Youngjae voices, it was so powerful and incredible)

I'm impressed that they not only retained the rights to their name but also to use the old footage. They obviously had really good representation in their negotiations for their departure. I hope they retained the rights to sing their old songs in concerts. I'm cautiously optimistic about their future as a fan. This song made me feel better than I did initially

They'll work it out and I don't think we'd have to wait that long either tbh as long as their respective labels coordinate with each other on it. interesting how Jinyoung wrote the song in December and I heard Warner Korea wanted the song out ASAP as well. They've been promoting the song heavily actually.

Mark funded the mv with his recent established company Mark Tuan Studios and it was filmed in Jacksons private studio (you can see his billboard on the wall) and another fun fact the song was released exactly 1 month after officially leaving jyp and with the bts video of the making of the video they recorded the song that day they officially left the company.

MAMA never appreciated my boys! They don't deserve a GOT7 performance and views from my boys, only to brush them aside again! I think they have a partnership with Warner Music Group as Got7, also Jackson has been a CEO of his own label for a while and has experience maneuvering contracts and I think they all had a discussion on how this will work, also Jackson said to Mark see you in a year so I believe we will see a comeback sooner than later. Got7 has always kept their promises to ahgases, so we believe them and will continue to support them until they reunite like the Avengers

Ahgases have been asking for an encore for so long and GOT7 have mentioned on countless Vlives that they weren't going to do an encore only for them to drop this song. We asked, and they delivered.

Trust me Got7 isn't like any other groups. In their last stage before their contract ends Jinyoung said they will be back together soon and a month later encore came out. Jinyoung said it so confidently of course he was the one who produced this song. I genuinely never thought that they would disband. And although they are all individually singed with different labels they actually signed with Warner Music Group together and because of that fact I predict we will have an album by this time next year. I don't doubt it please come back to this comment when I'm right.

GOT7 is not just a group who didn't disbanded but they are family. And in every interview, Jay B (the leader) said that they will release album every year.

[TLDR: Watch out for GOT7] I think the key hint is Warner Music Group and I don’t mean just the Korean branch. WM promoted extremely well globally, especially in the South East Asian region with each branch not only promoting in the regular sense - they mimicked fanbases behaviour and really interacted with fans. They’ve encouraged streaming, shared what fan support they’ve received (Ahgases sent a bunch of stuff to WM branches), they asked fans to request Encore at local radio stations and even did a cafe event just for Encore at Hong Kong. Now, in my limited experience that does not happen often (if ever) and all for a SINGLE. I have reason to believe this is clearly no ordinary distribution deal - and that GOT7 might be signed to WMG (and no ordinary deal too). There’s no official statement just yet, but this will probably happen later on, nearer to their comeback. It’s also note-worthy that Jinyoung made this song last December with intention to release it - indicating that discussions with Warner happened quite early on (as well as individual member talks with each agency). All of the members’ agency announcements were all so properly scheduled to keep fans engaged including member schedules. With Jay B having strong connections with a bunch of composers around Korea, Jackson and Mark’s US and Chinese fanbase, Bambam’s Thai fanbase and the Korean fanbase slowly growing for Jinyoung (K-drama), Youngjae (K-drama and musical) and Yugyeom (KRNB/KHH), they’re well-positioned to take on the global music industry. Encore charted #1 for 54 countried on iTunes, and #1 worldwide iTunes for three days straight - this broke ALL of GOT7’s records previously. They only announced the song 18 hours before it dropped. If my hunch is right, they’re about to go full global beyond anyone’s expectation, perhaps even bigger than MAMA or any Korean broadcasting show. You’d be right to watch them early on, things are only getting started. They’ve proven to everyone how hardworking and genuine they are. Only up and above from here.

ENCORE is the moment of a concert when the set list is « officially » over, and the artist comes back to play another song, bc both the artist and the fans don’t want this time together to end. It’s also the part of the concert when the artist lets go of the perfect choreo or the perfect pitch, and gets to express another side, a freer side. Encore is the time when GOT7 are unleashing their funny or affectionate self between themselves and with the fans, creating unique moments that were always different in each concert, and gifting the fans with beautiful memories. Encore is the time when they give every last bit of energy they have, then leave. But not without promising they will be back. And we believe them.

GOT7 is not signed under Warner Music (at least NOT YET confirmed). There’s no articles, no official statements and no confirmation from any of the members so far. They’re not listed under WMG’s Artists roster. They likely have deals for distribution and promotional for which Jaebeom worked hard in handling the legal matters Also they used Jackson’s studio, worked with Mark’s team and a productions team who worked on M.I.A (Jackson’s collab w Afgan). The song was made by Jinyoung. I agree the old footages of their concert might come from BamBam. Youngjae said they used their own money. Warner Music partnered w Jackson (through 88Rising) and distributed for Øffshore before (possibilities how they got in contacts w the company) Outside .. their team (managers, stylists, etc) in ex company also left along with them, GOT7 still work with their managers and stylists from there. I believe the solo careers they pursue not only let them explore/grow as artists and individuals but benefits the group in the long run (such as experiences, resources, etc) I think their efforts as team and individually should be more acknowledged by everyone and give more than enough assurance that they WILL keep their promise. But things just take time (esp to settle legal matters etc) all there’s left for the fandom and audience is to wait patiently and keep that faith on em

As a group, GOT7 is under Warner Korea. Although Warner around the world has promoted this song. Separate labels are for their SOLO careers. Jackson , Mark and JB are not signed with any labels. .

Chemistry between GOT7'S members is worth praising. They are more than just a bandmates, they consider each other as brothers and so there's no doubt that they will comeback as one in future.

We are finding ways to keep the group and promote. Mark: I am still in GOT7.guys we are still together So at this point, we can trust them and support their endeavours. And if ever by chance they cant promote because things can change in an instant, we will deal at that time. Anyway who ever thought they would comeback right away after leaving just a month or two ago. They need agency, distributors etc, legalities are involved, many things to work out. I dont want to bring any type of drama idk. But for me the amerithaikong members add so much more to the korean member. To see things diff, to take their chances and for us to see something diff in a korea boy group. Im proud about how they manage their career. Imo, GOT7 has the strongest bond among groups (not only kpop) and you can see it clearly how genuine they are when they talk, act and treat each other

It's GOT7, it doesn't matter if they have a comeback any time soon or not, the important thing is that they let us know that the 7 of them will always choose each other as a family. No one can doubt GOT7's genuine feelings of love and support for each other. JYP may have put together the group and made them debut, but it's GOT7 who formed the brotherly bond. I can see your skepticism about them promoting again as a group, but does it really matter? Promoting on music shows or performing at awards is the least of our concerns. And honestly speaking, the last thing Ahgase want is for GOT7 to perform at the MAMAs again; they have been disrespected so many times, each and every year. That is why we'd much rather have GOT7 do whatever makes them feel comfortable as a group and as artists rather than attend some year end award show that is all about popularity. I think it's best to be real and say that even if GOT7 don't have a comeback any time soon, as a fandom we know that they made a collective choice for what are their best interests, for their careers as individuals as well. As a fan, one of the first things I noticed about GOT7 was how close and real their bond was, so even though I knew a lot of groups that never said they disbanded but never released anything as group anymore, I never doubted GOT7 would be different. Still, seeing the photos they posted, the letter, it really felt like saying goodbye, like losing something and not being sure when I'd see them again together, and then they dropped Encore. I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch the MV without feeling like crying because all the feelings just come rushing in. I'm so excited for what they'll get to do for their individual careers from now on, I'm grateful that they put out something as soon as they got out and made sure to not leave the company without doing something to show us that they were in fact together and would remain so. GOT7 is truly one of a kind group, I couldn't be more sure about that

I think you’re just a tad bit underestimating GOT7’s power. Jinyoung is already an established actor. Mark & Jackson made their own companies so they make the decision on what they do. Youngjae, Yugyeom, Jinyoung, & BamBam signed to companies who give artist a great amount of artistic freedom and these companies have already supported GOT7’s promotions with the release of encore. Jayb has not signed anywhere officially but he has said that he is taking the lead on GOT7’s promotions as a whole group and that fans are not to worry. The members are still promoting under GOT7’s name for example Youngjae always introduces himself as GOT7 Youngjae so do other members as well even to this day. They all have GOT7 in their bios and they have said a thousand times that they are not going anywhere. They opened a new RU-vid channel together and all of their music is now being distributed under Warner and Warner is cited as their new group company. We got group content last week with bts footage of the video. They will be coming back together beginning of next year or maybe even the ending of this year. What makes got7 different is that they’re still incredibly popular Encore hit 54 #1’s on iTunes which has only been done by top kpop groups. The solo stuff is being done in effort to sustain GOT7’s longevity as a group. They want to do well in individual areas so that the group as a whole can achieve higher levels of fame and that ultimately everyone stays happily in GOT7 without their own artistry being taken from them. I have been a kpop fan for 12 years trust me when I say GOT7 has no intentions of ever not being a group and all this are they? aren’t they? talk really needs to stop ✋😩

Recently Jaebeom talked about how discussions went about keeping GOT7 together and that he was frank with all the boys that if they weren’t all going to do it 100% that they’re not going to do it. He made sure all 7 members really wanted to stay together and promote together and that they were willing to fight for their future. They’re going to comeback, GOT7 are built different, they’re going to do it. They’re going to do full comebacks with full promotion. They’re going to be on music shows, they’re going to have a tour. It will happen.

I really believe GOT7 has a group deal with Warner Music Group. That they will be responsible for the group's comeback. The way warner is promoting them is much more than ex company has ever done. And the way GOT7 left the company proved they have a strong team behind their backs, assisting them with the juridical part so they would leave with the name and rights. Encore is the proof that GOT7 knows what they’re doing and can find their own way. Jinyoung made the song in December, they recorded the song and filming the MV (using Jinyoung’s guide song) in 18 January, means they have been in contact with Warner Music before that, and within a month Encore released in all platforms with, compare to what jype usually did, big promotion at least in social media, they have youtube, instagram, spotify ads, etc. event they make a GOT7 Encore cafe in HongKong. Even all their respective label promoted Encore (Sublime, AOMG, BH Entertainment (Jinyoung’s acting agency), it also shows GOT7 IS part of the contract if they signed with them. A rushed indeed but the sentimental feeling really hits hard on this, and i couldnt be more proud of GOT7, i wish their solo endeavour best of luck and that all group activities will be as smooth as ice cream 💚.
