im pretty sure jooheon said the music video is about something like the contrast between the glamour and spotlight of the idol life on the surface and the struggles they all go through on a personal level, that matches up with the unsettling elements in the music video !!

I miss Wonho in the group but I'm glad he's continuing doing what he loves, music. He's my Ult and It'll take me a while to get used to ot6 but the comeback is incredible!

Two aspects I want to bring up: 1. Fantasia is actually a style of composition in which a song is composed in freestyle, improvisationally, and with a mixture of tunes. You can tell that with this song. With the first listen it might be hard to follow, but by your 2nd, 3rd...its addicting! 2. The dancers/song can be interpreted in many ways but I see them as representing either obsessive/controlling fans and/or haters. They are expecting things from MX as celebrities (let me be your fantasy, let me give you what you need) and they keep reaching at mx, they keep trying to take them down. By the end however, you notice that the dancers become in sync and choreographed, and mx are standing on a stage looking down as tho they had controlled them finally. The dancers collapse, no longer able to hurt them!

I love the growth in Minhyuk. I know they mentioned on one of the shows that he had been working with a vocal coach wanting to improve for a while and I think you can really hear it in this one. I know not having Wonho has been hard for all of them. But I feel like in some ways they have grown as well.

I think I agree with you, Fantasia ad Follow are on the same level, bc both songs are a banger and the albums don't have a single skip, all of the songs are amazing and it would be awesome if you could do a listening party to Fantasia X, I really want to know what do you think about the album. I agree with you, Fantasia and Follow are on the same par as one another and yet they are also different in many ways. I honestly love both very much. This video is so beautiful and the choreo is lit as always.🔥 The way I interpret this mv is along with the lyrics for the song. They are literally coming back from fighting their hardest battle to date, which is saying a lot bc they have been through so much even before October, but Oct. was definitely the hardest. This song is for their haters. The luxury is them being idols and the dancers with no faces represent the haters. The haters are always going wild, doing their own thing trying to interfere with what the boys are doing. They are reaching out trying to ruin them (the wall of hands behind Minhyuk). Notice how the dancers are completely wild in the first half of the mv but as the song ends they become more and more in sync with one another and eventually with Monsta X. And at the end Monsta X controls them and lays them out. To me this signifies no matter how hard the haters try to interfere and bring the boys down, Monsta X will always push through, fight like hell and will PREVAIL. And Monsta X will always be 7.❤ Thank you for another great analysis reaction.

Lay Lit!!!! It’s literally a movie!! The MV was based off of Yixings (Lays) favorite Chinese historical figure. A Chinese general named Xiang Yu, who fought in the battle of Gaixia. The background music you hear in the beginning is called “The Song Of Gaixia” which Xiang Yu composed for his wife Lady Yu (lays song Jade) who later took her own life. The MV is the portrayal of Xiang Yus entrapment by the Han soldiers while trying to rescue his wife Consort Yu.

Fantasia reminds me (with the sound and the video making) to Follow too, but I felt a sinister vibe from the beginning and I think it's because of the liting (behind the members that are in the shadow), the low voices and the dancing figures. I love this MV and that majestic-creepy aura it releases but I agree, it's not better than follow, it's more like a continuation of that amazing video. I love the song (the whole album actually), but I also would have liked more Joohoney. I really like it when they do the back and forth thing between the two rappers.

Follow MV was very aesthetically pleasing...the lighting, the colors (also the album was absolute perfection) . But i like Fantasia A LOT bc of the creepy and contemporary feel to it...the message is so much more interesting and the outfits 😍 but lets be real, without wonho, my heart feels like there's a big hole :( as for the songs, follow is much easier to like on the first listen but I ended up OBSESSED with Fantasia by the 3rd listen. Its different for MX, yet still had their classic touch. How do they do that! We know how hard it is for groups to continually improve and change sounds, without losing their special touch! I think thats what makes Monsta X my favorite KPOP group 🤗

I like Fantasia better, mostly because I thought Follow was too noisy. Fantasia is so much more classy, and the sound is clearer. I saw some people saying that it broke the mold of MX's previous titles and I agree, it had a different structure and I loved it.

i don't stan monsta x but i was really impressed by this comeback, probably one of my fave title tracks by them so far

I agree on it being on the same scale as Follow! I love both comebacks very much and I also love how both are the same yet different. I do wish Jooheon had a second part too, or at least with I.M. however!! I also really loved how they gave Shownu and Kihyun lots of spotlight in-between + Minhyuk and Hyungwon in the chorus. It was a nice balance in my eyes. But yeah, I think Fantasia is an amazing follow up (lol) to Follow. I gotta hold them close in each hand.
