Ten is literally everything here. He has developed what sm has been hiding. He is an extraodrinary dancer and also a vocalist. I'm glad that he is shining.

I actually dig the hybrid version as much as the ones alone because i feel like it combines the futuristic sound of infinity with the rawness of monster in a really cool way xd

Most people didn’t even notice that One was two separate songs! The rough transition makes it exciting imo, addictive. The separate songs are excellent too but doesn’t bring the variety of moods that One gives, better as a title track to bring in new fans.

Ten really, really shined in this music video.

Personally I quite liked One! I don't know if it's just because I heard it first so I was already familiar with that transition into the chorus, but I honestly thought Monster's chorus was more jarring and I still can't really get into it. The verses in Monster are amazing, but I feel like Infinity's chorus is way catchier and (I'm assuming) that's why they decided to mash them together for the single 🤷‍♀️ Infinity is fire by itself though so I wouldn't have been mad if they'd decided to promote it as the title track!

PD, I'm sad to say I completely agree. Lol the best thing is Taemin agrees :D He basically just said in a recent live he wishes Infinity was the title track. Apparently he also wanted Wish You Were Here to be promoted instead of 100. The SuperM boys have always said they find Taemin is always right - SM, when will you finally learn!!!

I really really like the mash up version of monster and infinity. The only problem I have now is that because I listened to one first and only got to the album a few days later I still can’t keep monster and infinity separate. Like, if I would try to sing one song in my head I would get all the parts of both songs mixed up. They’re kinda forever intertwined in my head now 😅

I hope you can do a listening party to their album it's very different

Honestly I usually agree with you most of the time, but not today because I feel like that _frankenstein_ is amazing, it’s the anthem like song superm’s concept needed but it’s okay, I hope you like the album it’s totally worth it.

in my opinion infinity would have been great as their title track, but i still think one sounds so good and fits them really really well, that’s why i think it was the best choice to mix infinity and monster, and putting one as their title track, i do not like the chorus of monster and it feels like monster lacks something without the one’s chorus! this album is really great, and you should really listen to their debut ep too, all of their bsides are so incredible, just like this album ! also i love tiger inside, but after jopping, which made a big impression and is really powerful, one was a great continuation to it !

I absolutely loved all three songs. I'm surprised you thought One was a mess, I thought it was mixed perfectly and doesn't take anything away from the originals. But if I had to choose I think Infinity takes the cake. It's just too epic. Can't wait for you to listen to album in its entirety. It's a masterpiece.

I actually like one, it has the best parts of the two songs, I think they did it cuz the both songs were TOO GOOD to just be two individual songs so they said let us bind those two and make "one" , its actually new to me, a hybrid song, I actually enjoyed it,and I totally understand if you didn't like the idea cuz you have your own taste and preference, but the mv could've been better tho, I felt like they went all the way for "100" mv that they got lazy for "tiger inside" and "one", it is good but not what sm does usually. And I can't wait for your album review OMG like you can't imagine how good the bsides are, it shocked me, theres barely few I didn't like/ enjoy.

I hope you might consider making a listening party for the b-sides of their first mini album too, because I think you might like them better than Jopping. Their song I Can't Stand the Rain is amazing.

I actually cried when I first heard Infinity. It was so good that I was overwhelmed.

So I'm kinda late and this will probably get drowned, but here's my opinion anyways. I can definitely see why someone would be overwhelmed by One or would think it sounds messy, but I FREAKING LOVE ONE. Ever since I heard it, it has been stuck in my head. Especially the Chorus, OMG THE CHORUS. And let's not forget about Ten, his pre-Chorus sounds so amazing; I don't have enough words to describe the deep satisfaction I feel every time I hear his voice. (The shared Highnote with Baekhyun is also incredibly beautiful). Did I mention Lucas?! He didn't have too many lines, but he stood out SO MUCH, and his lines are probably the most iconic thing ever. I got Bias-Wrecked by Everybody and even though my Ultimate Bias is Taemin, he wasn't the one that I was drawn to the most and that never happened before. To address the hybrid song thing: -Monster is amazing, the verses are great, and It probably has the best pre-Chorus I've heard in a while (Ten OMG). However the Chorus was a odd change of pace for me. We have this amazing pre-Chorus and then the Chorus hits and it is.... Weirdly calm? Don't get me wrong it not bad by any means, it just felt a bit out of place (However, this could be because I listened to One first and I loved the combination of the Monster pre-Chorus and the Infinity Chorus). Because of this, I am actually "happy" that the Chorus wasn't in the title track One. - Infinity is just amazing, it sounds like a Hollywood Action film score and it has so much power and energy and I simply love it. The Intro to this song is so impressive and it sets the tone perfectly and the same is true for the amazing raps we get and the small sung parts before the pre-Chorus. The pre-Chorus is ... Alright. Nothing special and again, it feels a bit out of place (But again this could be due to the fact, that I am enamoured with the Monster pre-Chorus) The Chorus on the other hand is, again, one of the best Choruses I've heard in a long time and I simply love everything about it. So in the end, One just combined the best parts of each song (for me). The Monster pre-Chorus + the Infinity Chorus. The Verses of both songs are great, but they went with the Monster Verses which is alright. It's a shame, they didn't include the epic Intro to Infinity in One, but I guess the song would have sounded too messy then. Lucas's Part at the End of One hits even harder than the Original from Infinity and I am so glad they included it. Conclusion: All three songs (and the entire album) have been on repeat ever since the album dropped (I'm sorry for any grammatical mistakes or the wrong spelling; English is not my first language)

After listening to monster and infinity separately, one does sound a bit off but still good. But even then, I think the best song on the album is wish you were here despite both monster and infinity being 9/10s for me.

At the end of the music video, on the phone Taem was holding was *æ* which in old english and scots usually means 'one' so yeah fun little easter egg (?) there.

I really like 'One', the only weird thing is the transition from the pre-chorus to the chorus, but once you get used to it, its just fine. I think 'One' hits way harder than the two songs separately and the outro with Lucas also hits harder than the 'Infinity' outro. But I do love the two songs separately too, they are soooo good, the whole album is amazing!

I like One, but I like Infinity and Monster more seperately and I agree that MV is not very cohesive, which is a shame really. But the album is just amazing! I love all of the songs so much, I have it on repeat since it came out. I'm really excited for your listening party. I would also love to see your reaction to their previous mini album, because the b-sides are really good. I Can't Stand The Rain is such a bop. It just 4 songs, so it wouldn't take much of your time.

People on my tl were actually surprised when they found out that One is a combination of 2 songs haha like they didn't think it was a hybrid nor it sounded messy. SM personally asked the producers to mix the two songs btw. I think One is the best choice for a title track for SuperM based on the group's image and concept. They're just sticking to their concept and I think they did well in that part. But in SuperM;s recent live, the most voted favorite song was Wish You Were Here haha and Taemin was like 'This should've been a title track!!'

Taemin chose that 'Infinity' as his favorite song to the point that he should have chosen the song as their title song.

I think because we already knew One was going to be a hybrid that I went into the song with an open mind and expect something to not be cohesive. I think it's good and I love listening to both songs separately, all 3 are really good. The whole album is really good, a lot of variety, better line distribution, just overall greatness.

That high note duet with Ten and Baekhyun was one of my favorite parts of the song. Ten got so many lines in this song and that made me so happy.

I really loved monster and infinity separately but I actually preferred one I thought it mixed the best parts of both songs really well The most impactful part as you said was Lucas's outro and for me it was even better in one than infinity

One of the best album releases of this year

Maybe it's because I love fan mashups, but to me One is perfection: combining the best of both songs into one banger and the title track that finally does SuperM justice. Don't get me wrong: I think both songs are awesome on their own, but I just feel like something is lacking when I hear Infinity or Monster by themselves. To me, One is greater than the sum of its parts.

Honestly feel like Super M is really underappreciated they delivered a masterpiece of an album and this mv and combined song was phenomenal! I wish I could see them live again.

When I first heard one I was like "ok this is cool, sounds like a normal superM song" THEN I heard the two tracks separately and BOIIIII THOSE TWO ALONE ARE WAY BETTER! I have to agree with you on that!

I actually have to give credit to sm and super m for trying out a new formula to Kpop groups. Combining a variety of members from their actual groups to other groups is something that I’m not sure has been done before ( don’t quote me on this) and who knows?!! 10, 20 years from now this could be a new type of group that people will see more often in the kpop scene.

I actually like One a lot. It's probably my fave SuperM title. It took the best parts of each song, the amazing Monster verses, with one of the best chorus' I've ever heard of Infinity and put them together. To me, it really worked. Infinity in general is one of their best songs. It's so incredible and it really could have worked as the title. However, when Lucas' last verse kicks in to end One, with the strong instrumentals of Monster, the impact is insane. Idk, I really just love One. The whole album is incredible. Please do a listening party.

I respectfully disagree, One is better than Monster or Infinity by themselves. Verses in Monster are great but the chorus is lacking, and Infinitys chorus is 10/10 and while the versus with that choir sound is dope, lacks energy. Its my 3rd favorite song of the year currently (subject to change)

One is actually my fav. Also i love the fact that its overwhelming cuz it just excites me. I also liked the line distribution (even tho its not necessarily equal) i think every one stood out and had a highlight

I like One but after listening to the album so many times I did feel like Infinity and Monster flow more naturally. Now I just hear 2 songs thrown together in One. Sherlock never had this problem (SHINee), because Clue and Note are so similar, it was like the same song in two parts so putting them together sounded completely natural. With One it doesn't sound as natural. Taemin thinks Infinity should have been the title track and somebody needs to do an MV edit for Infinity because I wonder how that would've looked. I think it also would have been a hit for sure. Taeyong: Taemin hyung is always right. Shawols keep quoting that, but when a man went against his company and pushed for Move as a title track instead of Love, and Move became one of the most iconic Kpop songs of all time and Taemin's turning point, maybe it's true? So apart from SM possibly showing off as people say, I have to wonder why they chose the verses of Monster and the chorus of Infinity. If they have different stories, what's the intent to put them together? I notice in this video the green on their clothes gives a 'monster' effect and at one point Baekhyun looks lizard-like with the way he moves his fingers (never seen anyone else notice it, though), and then Taemin in the bridge seeming to embody the anguish and turmoil of an inner monster which is the kind of thing he's always naturally good at... I wonder if it's just because they're being fancy with two songs in one or if they're moving the story. Are they supposed to have powers ? We still don't know. But I'm one of the minority that's really more interested in the storyline that SuperM seeeems to be doing since last year, if they're doing something like The Matrix. Maybe Infinity has the obvious Matrix themes and lyrics and Monster has... something else? Or maybe I'm talking fantasy nonsense because it's what I want and Taemin is actually right and it should've been Infinity. I actually think Infinity and Monster could make very good MVs separately. Infinity could've been the title and then Monster could have followed to continue the story. Monster could've been an extra a bit like WayV's Bad Alive. I really just want a story and movie I don't care about anything else-

Although I can see how some might find 'One' jarring, I really like this Frankinstein, this hybrid works for me, both song and video are fire but listening to the songs separately again was definitely a good thing as it has given me a new appreciation for them as stand alone tracks. I really like One but Infinity is just so great I kinda wish it was the title track. What I really liked about One is that we got more Ten and Lucas. I felt like all members got a time to shine. Personally I’d rank the MVs they released like this: 1. One 2. Tiger Inside 3. 100 (Song wise, I think Tiger Inside is the best out of the three)

This is my first time hearing a hybrid type of song and to say I'm actually mind blown. I've listened to One (not knowing about it being a combination of 2 songs) a billion of times since it's one of my fave but this.... I'm actually experiencing so many emotions it's like amazing. I love Hybrid songs! If anyone knows any other hybrid songs except SHINee (I'm gonna check that one now) then let me know!

I really wished they would've had infinity as the title track and had one (monster+infinity) as a b-side bonus. The idea of combining two songs is super cool and Sherlock by Shinee was amazing but One is just lacking in cohesiveness.

The final chorus and the outro in Infinity might sound same to the ONE version, but if you listen to them carefully, the instrumental is pretty DIFFERENT! And it sounds epic in the ONE

I can appreciate both Monster and Infinity on their own. They're great songs, but it's something about the loudness and the combination of the two together to create One that I love the most.

I personally think One is a great song, however I think it was a mistake to promote it as their promotion track. And I also think it was a mistake to promote both 100 and Tiger Inside as pre-release singles. I think Monster and Infinity should have been the pre release singles with One being a special “remix” included in the album. I completely agree that Tiger Inside should have been the promoted title track. The point of SuperM should have been to introduce America to Korea in a way that showcased the best of the best and the way they’ve gone about it fails to represent SuperM as such.

I definitely prefer them as individual songs, too. Like Taemin often says- I think Infinity should have been promoted more and have been the title track than One. I actually think it represents SuperM more than One since they play around with their vocals and the sounds a lot more. But that's SM for you lol. Also...I don't want other fans speaking on behalf of ALL SuperM fans. Many of us like One as the title track and many of us preferred Infinity.

From One to With You, for me, this is the first Kpop album that every songs are famous & well-known. Sometimes in 1 album, i only know/familiar with 2-3 songs.
