Just keep in mind that if you have water in your engine in freezing temps, it can crack your engine block and/or radiator after it freezes and expands. That's why coolant is called "antifreeze" it can get to lower temps without freezing. Also Im not sure if undistilled water will rust your engine but if so you definitely don't want that
Yea this was just temporary I’ve already put coolant in it because I recorded the first ride video on it today. I’m sure if you leave water in for too long it may cause damage but if it’s in there for a week or less it won’t do any harm
If it's warm where you live all the time you can put water in your dirt bikes radiator, cars radiator and so on. If you live where it's cold 6 months out of the year you gotta run antifreeze.
Namuras are garbage pistons, unstable metal compounds. Wiseco is the best forged piston and pro x is the best cast piston. To keep that motor running strong for ever run Klotz R-50. It has film strength of a castor oil but isn’t one and it burns super clean. I highly recommend it in every 2 stroke.
You know on all weisco pistons any cylinder head that has a bridge wall through the exhaust port and to keep the piston from melting to the rings you will need to look up where and what size holes will need too....i be drilled under the exhaust bridge usually 4 dogfood holes lined up with the bridge
new sub. good job. did you have to dril a bridge in the piston? i think the instructions on the wiseco reccomend it. also, please measure the compression with a tester. I want to see how it comares to mine. Thanks!
Dude I have a kx100 and for long term use you should use coolant for the best preformance of your engine and it won’t damage it and also coolant is half water but water is fine temporarily but don’t do it forever sick build
@DJ's Garage I have a question I have the same bike and the same year it rides really good but when I first start it it idles really high Intel I ride it for a wail then it goes back to normal. Do you know why?
Clean out your carburetor and check your reeds I had a kx250 that did that ended up being the floats sticking a little bit and draining gas into my cylinder
water is gonna corrode your cases and your "coolant" ports on your cylinder over time, coolant has anti corrosion properties. but for tests who cares just long term
@@DJsGarage Yeah it absolutely won’t be harmed at all, just long term. Coolant contains anti corrosion additives:) Considering buying a kx project myself..
