The LA-Phant: Episode 1
We introduce The LA-phant. Anaturally aspirated 437 MOPAR LA small block stroker build with our sights set on 700 HP. We look at the basic engine block, the machine work performed from a local machine shop, and ream out some key oil gallies in preparation for the build.
This build is based on the Chrysler/MOPAR 340 small block which were known for their larger cylinder bores (4.04 inches). However, the videos contain concepts applicable to 318 and 360 blocks as well.

Great video. Good in-depth mod instructions. Looking to see more videos on the build. Working on my 340. Unfortunately it was bored .060" before I got it. Walls are still good though. I do have a 360 I want to build first. Looking to keep the lower end stock, but change pistons and heads for more HP and torque. I want to save the 340 for when the car is ready to retire and live a sedentary life. Keep up the great vids.

Nice video. I have this same motor in my 70 Cuda but I didn’t build it. It’s been great so far about 5k miles in. Carb set up is a new Holley 1350 cfm Six Barrel Eldbrock intake 10.5 compression eddy heads with some port work not clear on how much was done.
