Fabulous Story . Basically an expansion of why Russia and the U.S both lost in Afghanistan and the U.S also lost in Vietnam , because of the same Mindset .

i swear because of all the terrible narration channels that get sent to me i might have to unsubscribe, just so they stop coming. one channel just straight used a dead athuor's name and used ai to "write" it. the annoying thing is i really love this channel. sometimes i want to listen to this in the backround of a game or something, or stories where otherwise i would of never been interested, or ones i tried that are much better listened to. everyday i get a few of those channels recommended to me, ill block em, but then they will comeback days later btw theres a sequel to "the humans are not a hive mind."

Great story. I think in the future perhaps hundreds of years from now, Humankind had better be very careful about how many colonies we start; and how close they maybe to alien civilizations. We better send out messages to those aliens, and ask them if it would be alright for us to start a colony on such and such a planet. Of course, we would also have to build a huge war fleet to protect those colonies. This might prevent us from building so many colonies so far away from Earth.
