The National Library of Ireland partnering with Seanad Éireann, are excited to launch our Yeats Nobel Centenary - Video Series 🥇🎬
Prominent Seanad Éireann Members, of which Yeats was a member, join Irish poets and performers in contributing a reading of their favourite Yeats pieces. A collaboration between the National Library of Ireland and Seanad Éireann.
Together marking 100 years since poet, writer and Senator WB Yeats was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
🎬 Premiering the National Library of Ireland and Houses of the Oireachtas video series is student Luke Dolan reading Yeats’ ‘The Lake Isle of Innisfree’ (1890).
Luke was the overall winner of the NLI’s 2022 #PoetryAloud competition.
