I remember my grandparents turning this on for me. Here I am 31 my dad, grandpa and grandma are all passed. Hearing this helps me to be with them as my memories replay. Life was easier back then. Let’s all ride this nostalgia train
I just lost my mom a month ago and remember watching this movie as a little girl and getting so sad when little foot lost his mom knowing one day I would too. This music brings me right back.

This song is the closest thing I have to feeling like I am with my grandmother again. After she passed away I was so sad and depressed, she basically raised me. We used to watch these movies together all the time. Thank you grandma, I will never forget you or the good times we had together because like this song, you’ll always be in my heart!

I know. As a kid I was so mad when the 2nd movie came out because I knew it was not Ducky and so I never wanted to see another one after because of that. When I became an adult I found out what happened. She was the best Ducky ever!

Grew up watching this movie early 90s with all my family....32 years later..Mom..Dad..Grandparents..most uncles and aunts have all passed away but listening to this song again makes me feel like they all watching over me and they proud of me for continuing in life which makes me feel like they always with me each day....I miss all of you each and every single day.
I miss the old artwork with the more subdued colors and greater detail. It made this prehistoric world more frightening and primeval. These types of animated films are to be treasured because they don’t pull punches. Pain can be a good teacher. It can make you stronger. And without the dark and storms, the sunshine and rainbows cannot be fully appreciated.
Back in the 90s, as a kid, I remember i was feeling uncomfortable while watching this movie. The dark tone, the baren landscapes, the violent scenes, the sad moments... All of these things seemed to be really out of place for a children movie, especially when you grow up watchings lots of friendly Disney movies. But this music... It fits perfectly the themes of the movie: the sorrow for a tragic loss and the hope for a better future. You can live happy and safe in this world, but only if you find the courage to face a dangerous quest. And if you keep going, you will succed. It's like a metaphor for the human life. Now that I'm an adult I understand. And yes, this music hits really hard!
This track is the anthem for a very lucky group of people who were born in time to enjoy and reflect on TLBT and how it made us all feel, even all these years later...I feel privelaged to live in the same century as Don Bluth and Gary Goldman.
The land before time taught us so much. If only we lived the teachings it taught in todays times. Those teachings are, while we may look different we can still be friends. Threehorns can play with longnecks, spiked tails,flyers, and big mouths.

For me it actually was yesterday. I hadn't watched it since I was a child. I got to fall in love with it all over again. A movie like this could never be made today, too realistic too melancholic and too unpretentious.
I’ve been playing the piano a lot lately and accidentally hit cords similar to these. I almost cried just imagining this song. Now I’m here, and the thought of how far my childhood is behind me has me tearing up.
James Horner understands what it means to be human. (Even if dinosaurs are representing.) Understands we don’t always know how to do it. Empathy and insight driven music. So many feelings in one song. The story would have been good without such talent but the music is what makes this timeless film for me. Definitely makes me miss people and I can’t help but think of those whom I will miss desperately. I already miss my father when I think of missing him in future. His hugs make me feel safer than anything else ever has. Outreaching love to those who have lost any of “their people”. We will all be a part of this group at some point, and in that we are not alone, but united. 💜 In the end we will be gone and missed too. There is hope in that for me, and in eternity beyond. Love never dies. This I believe.

Here I am, 30 years old, being thrown back into my childhood, watching this during summer vacation after getting out of the pool because of an afternoon thunderstorm and seeing how vivid the color of the clouds were as I looked outside after the storm, and hearing this music play the whole time. now my eyes sting because I'm struggling to fight back tears. I miss my perfect childhood days.
I’m an 05 kid, I saw this as a kid because my aunt had it on vhs and whenever I went over to her house for a sleepover, me and my cousins would watch this movie
In my opinion, this is the hardest song to not cry to. I can't do it. It is such a beautiful song, but knowing the story of The Land Before Time makes it so difficult not to cry to.

Wow… i never ever cry to any movies or songs but damn, this one allways gets me. The song gives me tears and the movie used to make me cry. It’s all in our memories now. My children will watch this when growing up
Movies were the languages my sister, cousins and I would speak. We all lived together when it was just the 6 of us which grew to over 20. We kept to ourselves in our own world of music, movies, books, and games. This song brings me back to that time and the emotions that come with growing apart from that. I’m not one of those people that wish we could just “go back in time”. I don’t feel like I lost anything. Life has to happen. But I will say that my love for my family and that time in my life is very real. And if there’s ever a path in the future to where we could all be there together again like living in the same neighborhood then I’ll do anything I can to be part of it to make it happen. I love and miss my family. They’re the only friends I need.
There hasn't really been any LBT movies in years. Safe to say the franchise has probably ended, sucks but it had a good run. Now our kids can enjoy what we enjoyed when we were young
Strangely enough, the last time it was used in a LBT movie was number 9, The Journey To Big Water. And that was the last good sequel, to me at least, so that marks the end of Land Before Time, when they stopped using Horner's music.
Mullerornis Yeah, I always saw the sequels as extremely inferior to the original but Stone Of Cold Fire was one of the better sequels, up there with 2 and 3.
This reminds me of sitting in my late nan and grandads. I watched it all the time and the land before time is the thing i connect with them most. I miss you nan and granded and how the film explains beautifully you will always be there with me in the circle of life xxx
I still have this movie and still works every music I've listen makes me cry and remembering the whole movie. All music have a meaning every step of the in their journey.
Shit makes me cry like a bitch, thinking of the better days as a young child before I became this complete fuck up waste of space I have become. All I want in life is to go back to when things were simpilar, but I can't it's too late for me; thank god for my mother or I would of most likely ended my life by now. Funny how she's the one who would watch these movies with me as a child, and all that; and now she's the only reason I am even alive still. Never would of thought it'd come to this.

I just don't know what to do anymore, furthermore I honestly don't even know what to think anymore, as any and every thought I have or thing that goes through my mind ends up either being annoying, stupid, wrong, bad, etc. This life clearly isn't made for someone like me, too nice letting people walk all over me, but eventually reaching the point where this begins to break you, you start using drugs and become more distant and more of an asshole. Eventually I become an addict and all that comes with it (never ever used a needle though as I am terrified of needles so at least I never did it that way I guess), then as an addict your life really does falls to pieces. Eventually I did want to get clean, and have successfully done so as well, and haven't had a hiccup even in at least 3ish years, but the thing is they say the lains worsens, your emotions and feeling will all soon come back. The only thing that seems to ever happen though is just well pretty much nothing, withdraws and dependence and even cravings for the most part stop obviously but that is it. You become cold and calace with seemingly no end to it, which is constantly only worsened by being scolded and what not by those you love and life itself just never working out (an example is having work my was of having a great job for fish years, then am unemployed ever since and can't find work anywhere to the point where I have even heard that some manager at an interview thought I looked "shady" or what not which therefore leads to an obvious no job or anything for me just based on a man judging me based upon nothing).
wow Ive been feeling the same way. 23 & still an involuntary virgin & a social piraiya. I've gotten high on pot brownies earlier this year & rewatched some of the old LBTs to travel back in time mentally. My grandma next door bought the whole VHS collection for me when I was like 4-7 years old. Luckily I still have her place to get high & go back to a simpler time, before my justified depression & hatred for the regressive anti-intellectual human race. Before politics, where I get bashed by both sides for my 3rd party views.

So I'm having a bad year right now. However, I'm also very bad at letting emotions out. Yesterday I decided I need to let them out and put on that movie. That half hour cry was really needed.
The music in the beginning is very triggering to me because this was the scene when Littlefoot's mom dies. That brings me back to when my dad had passed away this past New Years Eve. He knew how much I love the Land Before Time series since I was little. Hearing the music and the scene in my head and watching it makes me cry and miss him more. RIP Dad

I've always loved these movies and still watch them to this day. This theme is truly beautiful and heart wrenching and one of the most beautiful movie themes of all time in my opinion. What a tragic loss when he died in that plane crash but he brought a gift to the world of film music.
I remember the good old memories back when the entire franchise of the land before time was on Netflix back when I was 5 to 6 years old but now that I’m 17, I just really wish that I could dream about them again just like I did back when I was Six or five years old😭😭❤️❤️
This score isn't quite like any other children's movie score I know of. It isn't wholly triumphant. It seems to know how hard it is, how awful things can get, and that not everyone is going to make it. You can feel the pain and tiredness in it. But at the very end, it offers just a little bit of hope, for those who hold on long enough.
