Well..if someone is even thinking about "bagging" a Squatch...for the amount of money a new AR-15 will cost, it'd probably be a better idea to get a pretty decent 12 gauge shotgun. A good Mossberg "police variant" pump action will hold 8 rounds in the tube "plus..one in the pipe" will give you a total of 9 shots. That's 9 shots of..OO-buckshot..or rifled slugs, & perhaps a couple rounds of Dragons breath, 'an incendiary shotgun round". Now..the D.B. isn't going to necesarily.."kill" a Squatch sized critter..BUT...it WILL temporarily...distract, startle..blind AND..light-em on FIRE. And when ANY living thing is ON FIRE, its amazing how quickly all of the..desire to..fight, disappears completely. You "can" find/buy/ or cast custom slugs that..by design.."hypothetically" COULD" contain a small internal cavity...large enough that a small amount of home-made H.E." high explosives" could be put into..with a small spacer & recessed primer under a spring loaded striker". For instance..fulminate of mercury gives a decent "bang" & its sensitive enough that it doesnt require an initiating charge..like a #6 military blasting cap. But..its stable enough that...unless the rounds are VERY roughly handled, .they wont detonate from..say..being dropped onto a hard surface..UNDER 5 or 6 feet. So..the muzzle energy from the weight of the lead/ slug itself...now THAT is gonna have a LOT if knock-down power. It "may" or..may not get decent penetration..BUT, upon impact, the miniature H.E."warhead" will detonate, and WILL definitely make a Squatchs buttonhole pucker...AND do a considerable amount of tissue damage. So...if a Squatch was.."wanti'n Now..CLOSE dance", first shot..Dragons breath. That's gonna slow his roll..light them on fire..thereby illuminating your target for shot number 2. 2nd shot.12 gauge H.E. round...a body shot..fair..hit an arm..shoulder..knee..& possibly blow the limb off..better. A..HEAD shit..well sir..that..would be..YAHTZEE..game over. If there's only one Squatch..then that's..one & done. If there are MORE..well, AFTER seeing the.."first guy" BURST into FLASHEs..AND get fubar..yknow..arm, leg..or HEAD being blown up/off. WILL not inspire their..confidence. If they're feeling lucky..well..you'd still have EIGHT more shots left..before needing to reload. But..whatever said anything about JUST bringing..ONE critter-getter.."bug ASS GUN"??
