Yeah, adding a Hasselblad is an excellent way to make your bag lighter. Well, your wallet, anyway.

Great Video thank you. It is amazing when you actually breakdown “What’s in your Backpack”, camera equipment is only a small part of it. People carry far too much and defeat the objective, which, above all, is to enjoy yourself when out in nature and leave nature as you find it. Keep well, Stay safe and enjoy the Outdoors 👍🇬🇧

The other day someone said to me, "You have one of those professional white lenses on your camera." I said, "It's just a lens. The professional part is here in back of the camera. But, I'm not a professional." We're all gear heads and interested in what's in other photographers' bags. But, Mads would still make great photos regardless of what's in his bag.

The hasseblad seems nice but the lens is slow. My Nikon 14-24 is a 2.8 and it is really good on a Nikon z8

I just got a new camera for my birthday and it was the sony A7RV along with a 24-70mm sony lens and I have been learning how to use it and I love it I have always been into photography as a kid and utilized cameras that you couldnt change the lens on normally so watching your videos which I just came across has been super helpful for me to learn how to get better at photography so I thank you a lot for that, I am going to take a look at your book and potentially even your lightroom course to further develop my skills.

How do you find the Shimoda Action x50 for air travel? Was looking at that and the 40 but couldn't get a good sense of how it fits in things like overhead bins.

For the Sony hot shoe moisture issue, try the Nikon BS-3 hot shoe cover. It is rubber and completely covers the hot shoe unlike the supplied plastic inserts usually supplied with cameras.

I keep gaffer's tape wrapped on a tripod leg and place a postage stamp sized strip over the hot shoe. Works fine, both alone and over the little plastic insert. Gaffer tape often comes in handy.

Since You’re making a video about gear, I wanted to ask you wether you now regret buying the 16-35 pz instead of the 16-25 G which wasn‘t around. In other words would you still recommend the 16-35 pz over the 16-25 Price is very similar and the power Zoom isn‘t something I really want. Best regards, Love your Videos :)

@@RaphaelHuber-cm7vf 110%! I would recommend the 16-35 f/4 over the 16-25 f/2.8. If I want f/2.8 I'd go with the 16-35 f/2.8 mark II :)

 @MadsPeterIversen Thank you, for the quick response :) The huge lense selection with Sony is sometimes just overwhelming for me.. Hope you keep up your style of videos, photography on RU-vid has become way too focused on tech rather than actual shooting :)

I bought the Canon 14-35mm f4 lens after you discussed it in a previous Mads and it has been a great addition to my set up and now looking at possibly the 100-500mm as my next lens addition. I do like the look of the Shimoda and was wondering if is this your carry on when you fly? In terms of your hot shoe issue, I recall you used a cover previously (possibly nikon) but didnt see it in your video. I had the same one and lost it 2 weeks ago in Paris and was wondering if yours is missing in action too 😂
@Eikenhorst
@Eikenhorst 18 дней назад
The Canon 14-35mm f/4 might be the best lens ever. There is just one issue with it: It is on RF mount :P It is so good that if they would have a 50-400mm on RF I would jump ship right away. The 100-500mm is a lovely lens too, but for my use it is expensive and heavy, but certainly fantastic. For landscapes the 100-400 is a good option too, nice and light. But then there is a gap from 35-100mm I would want to fill up, but don't really want to bring a heavy and expensive standard zoom lens extra for that....

You don't carry around everything we have seen in the video... This photographer's are making a lot of money.. put Hasselblads in the bag 💰 is very expensive and the most part of the people doesn't see the difference.

@2:45 So I have been only imaganing things like having a Nikon system that I have bought both Tamron and Sigma lenses for over the years. According to you, Tamron and Sigma lenses are only made for Sony! If also for Sony, there is no point mentioning it.
@petercollins7848
@petercollins7848 18 дней назад
No one could make any sense of what you are trying to say. Why are you criticising such a great photographer and his video?
@lianalehua7424
@lianalehua7424 18 дней назад
Where did he say Tamron and Sigma "only make lenses for Sony"? Not everyone is a seasoned photographer and knows what you do about other camera and lens makers. What I heard was that if I buy a Sony camera, then I have options of buying other lenses and don't have to buy the expensive Sony ones. Whether or not Tamron and Sigma make lenses for Nikon, Canon, or any other cameras never even crossed my mind, because this video was about the gear he is using and why. It's not a video about all of the lenses available for all of the camera bodies.
@jeremyhendersonphotography
@jeremyhendersonphotography 18 дней назад
@@lianalehua7424well he did say that he enjoys using Sony because [Tamron and Sigma] which doesn’t make much sense. I guess he would also enjoy using Nikon and Canon for the same reason 😂
@RedshiftDougal
@RedshiftDougal 18 дней назад
@@jeremyhendersonphotography Well, if you're a Canon RF user, there are *no* full-frame, third-party lenses available. And they've only this year okayed third-party APS-C lenses, five years since the first RF models were available, so that's probably the point that Mads was making when he said that line. (I know nothing of the Nikon world.)
@SamandSteve
@SamandSteve 17 дней назад
It’s hardly Mads fault that Canon refuse to open up their RF mount to third party lens, which is pure protectionism . As for Nikon I can only assume Tamron and Sigma don’t think it’s worth their while.
