Here is my account on how I received the gift. I had been praying to God for the gift but did not receive it. Then a brother in Christ, who was the leader of a prayer group I belonged to, received a prophesy in his church that everyone in my prayer group would receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. So we prayed to God and fasted for 7 days during which we taught ourselves from scriptures on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. On the 7th day, when we gathered together, we began to pray for the baptism then some started speaking in tongues but not me so I kept praying to myself something like this "Lord please baptize me with your Holy Spirit" because it felt like God was passing me by. Then one of the believers present said something like this " Do not think that the Holy Spirit would grab your mouth and take control of your body and you will start speaking. Step up in faith, open your mouth and speak!". So I stepped up in faith and started speaking in tongues, and that was it. My speaking was voluntary in that I could stop when I wanted and start when I wanted but involuntary in that I did not pre meditate on what I would say next or knew the next syllabus that would come out of my mouth. It just flowed! So in the end, everyone spoke in tongues. Praise the LORD!

When I first spoke in tongues I only spoke two words but when I woke in the morning I started to pray in tongues fluently

I never post comments, but thank you for teaching this lesson on speaking in tongues. I always thought " what if I'm just making it up, or what if it's not from God?" I fought the urge placed in my gut and held my tongue. After hearing this message it was confirmation that God has given me this gift and as I began to release it...just like you instructed...what a beautiful language. And even more beautiful was that my spitit was speaking directly to God the Father! I began to cry as the Love of the Holy Spirit filled me. My prayer for anyone who wishes or desires to have this gift is just...let go and let God have His way! Thank you for being obedient to God's word Evangelist!

Thank you so much Pastor Hernandez, I began to release syllables and the baptism fell on me. Thank you Holy Spirit. I desired this gift for a very long time. I received it in church sometime back but I did not continue to stir it up due to those doubts but now, just like a rushing wind, I began to speak and just believed that it would happen. It is so wonderful to hear Holy Spirit pray according to the will of the father. I have seen the love of God toward me and God loves each one of you who has watched this and is reading this. I had a dream last night where I spoke in tongues. My Father speaks to me heavily through dreams. I always know when they’re from Him. I fall into that frustration where I over think, fear that I’m not doing it right, etc. There are many time when I’m praying that I can hear the utterances deep down but I don’t repeat them. I’m going to overcome my obstacles! Amen. These teachings are so spot on to what I’m going through right now on my walk. Thank you so much!

You explained it perfectly. I just began my journey in my spiritual language once again. I now will be a part of the battle in Holy Spirit language. Keep doing the work of the Lord in this area, it is much needed , especially in these last days. I received the Holy Spirit 18 years ago. But have been self blocking as you formentioned. Speaking in Tongues is not demonic it's real gift of holy spirit. I remember before I receive it takes year's. But I continue to pray and desire it until, I receive it. I just worship God and then suddenly heavenly language came. I love it there is so much peace, joy and Love. To God be all the Glory

I really feel elated in the Spirit also just by seeing the demeanor of Bro David. I always see him so regal like as if a prince of God's kingdom. I find it very edifying when I listen to his voice, I hear the beauty of his soul and spirit. I admire him so much. I myself, have a spirituality that when others would see me do my flow in the spirit, others might think Im crazy that is why i keep it to myself and not let anybody see my weird experiences. What happens to me is, I am a singer and I write songs. I am very sensitive spiritually that I always yearn to connect to people by singing my heart out and taking an effect in the spiritual realm as a contribution for edifying the mystical body of Christ. I am very compelled to sing as an evangelist that my goals are to transform hearts and cause people to fall in love more with God and feel loved. Because, I have realized so much how good it is to love God more, and grow daily with much intention to serve people and love God by being more intimate with Him and being able to touch lives and care for people's hearts by my music and my spirit. I have always been emotional about my concern for others as well and God has always been very gentle to me that whenever I feel emotional, He eases me up with comforting movements in my spirit. I feel like an angel is embracing me in spirit and times also I feel vibration on my lips like as if I am being kissed. Sometimes, there are also struggles that i go through, there are moments that I have utterances that were not my own words but I discern from a different spirit. Sometimes, another spirit would try to disturb me by anger expression on my mouth and face. I discern that there are times that a different spirit is manifesting through me but in my spirit I am calm and composed, without fear. And that makes me assured that the Holy spirit indeed is within me. When I am alone, I like expressing my ideas in speech, and I speak to myself. And it feels good to me when I do because I feel more in control of my emotions and my mind, because it is giving myself power over my body. To the point that it feels that I am having myself as my best friend and at the same time as if I am having communication with my guardian angel. There are times that I feel talking alone like as if an angel is listening to me and even in the psychic level of connection. I even laugh alone when funny words are spoken and i enjoy it because I feel more confident about my drive on doing what my hearts desires are. I am open to express my goals by speaking them loud and even my aspirations. Sometimes I feel like God is even smiling at me when I find myself very elated in the spirit. And earlier today ..I was having utterances.. it felt like a spirit of a man..I didnt get scared and thought maybe it is the Holy Spirit. Then there was another utterances that words were spoken to me like of a psychic talking to me about another person I know. when it flows, it is coming out easily. I dont get scared that is why I just let it. And also, When I sing worship songs that I am flowing in a freestyle..I really feel so good in the spirit. Many times that I felt so much loved by God by how good I feel that I am caressed in the spirit. There was a struggle a week ago feb 2, I was freestyling about "following the One who leads to life overcoming hurt and strife"...lyrics flowing naturally like water and I would later shake my head unwillfully and feel discomfort. But the following day I was comforted with a sound sleep in the afternoon. I recall also on jan 31, I was praying the rosary on the way home traveling for 3 hours, half of the ride I was praying the rosary and having disturbances again which is the anger spirit on my mouth then I cried knowing that in my heart I will be bold and confident that I see myself like David with his fullness of his heart to sing and even his passion also for his love interest, but sincere in apologies for forgiveness (Psalm51) and I convinced myself that my army is the ones supporting me who will be singing along to my worship songs. I cried. And then we had food and I later on felt comforted in the spirit again. And this time around it was affectionate to my senses. I felt like a sensual spirit. I felt comforted. I recall one night around 2019, I was falling asleep, and my senses wère aware that in spirit I hear my mind speak angelic tongues, and it is like a current that my spirit flows with it like flowing water that my spirit's mouth follows its lead. It felt so ethereal. That is a great experience that I draw the joy in the Holy Spirit, and it is my source of strength. It happened to me after several videos I watched from Encountertv and hearing you say let there be like fire in our tongue. Thank you brother David, I feel more intimate connection to our loving God. I notice that God doesn't send me to sleep without telling "i love you Father, I love you Jesus, i love you Holy Spirit. " and when I get done whispering those words of affection I feel a sound slumber. I even feel tucked in his arms when I woke up. I feel very intimate with God and mother Mary and the holy angels.❤

Amen, this is all I wanted to hear. Days ago, as I was praying on top of mountain(here in Jordan) I cldnt understand d language I was speaking, but in my spirit it like water fall, ascending in exchange. All my face was flowing tears, laughter and I walked away when I was extremely contented

This was the BEST explanation of tongues that I’ve ever heard! I’m literally sitting here thinking, “why aren’t I a member of this church yet?!” Lol! I love how you explained that we have to speak in faith and that at best it’s a gift from God, and at worst, it’s a sincere expression of trying to surrender/communicate with the Lord. I always believed that deliberately trying to speak in tongues was silly or fake because it had to be some sort of force that came over the person, so I always thought that I couldn’t do it because I wasn’t as spiritual or connected to the Holy Spirit, but you explained this so clearly, and I understand the real purpose of this gift now. Wow David I was watching your video last night about praying in tongues for a third time cause I want to so bad just to edify myself & was so close! Plus I remember a lot of people in the comments started to after watching your video. I still couldn't though but now this video! Amazing! I feel like God is wanting me to & encouraging me but I am somehow fighting it like you said even though I want to so bad. Maybe thats why I haven't yet though. I even thought man I wish he's make a new fresh video on tongues instead of me watching the same one over and over lol & you did! I am so excited! God bless you guys! My father spoke tongues over me as a baby/child. It strengthened my faith. I remember how it felt. It was like love and protection aimed towards me and the world. Like affirmations of blessings from and of God on my life.

The Holy spirit is pure love ,and pure love has no need of voice to speak.

My experience (just in case it can help anyone): David taught on this last year, and I was able to grasp onto it and speak it tongues. Just 4-5 distinct words or sounds. And I had all the doubts, but I realized it was a matter of faith and trust in the Holy Spirit. I felt no great flash of being baptized in the Holy Spirit, but I trusted. All I had was those five words, but I was faithful with them everyday. After about ten days or so, I would pray those words aloud, while praising Jesus in my mind, or just talking to Him. One day, I realized I had more words. When I had about ten of them, I was praying in tongues, and that moment came. I could not speak those words enough. They just flowed like a river and I didn't even want to pause to breathe (although I did). Now, I no longer know how many words I have, but oh, so many more. So, even if you don't feel anything, give the Holy Spirit a sound, and just let it out. It may not be what you think it should be, but that is ok. Stick with it. You will be rewarded for your diligence. God bless you all!

Pastor David I have ask God for words and syllabus but haven't received them as of yet For some years now I only have an utterance that comes from my mouth. And some times I really feel God has pass over me pray for me HE would baptise me in the holy Spirit with speaking in tongues Love you and ministry and continue to do the work God has called you to do

So love this teaching, very powerful, Because the speaking in tongues where I'm from is always a debate because people believe that whenever you speak in tongues their must always be an interpreter if not you shouldn't. But I know for me when I'm in worship our spending time with God and the holy Spirit comes upon me my tongues flow and I can't help it.
