@@DonelleJayQuilates yeah but look at the thickness and great cooling and minimal fan noise. Alan Wake 2 at max graphics on a laptop almost the same form factor as a MacBook air is insane work. These kids of laptops are great for people who work in a corporate setting that also has heavy workloads, especially if you work with CAD software like me. I love my G16. Windows/Linux over anything else.
@@Testimony201 thanks for clearing that , where I live acer laptops are known for this budget and performance oriented both, same for msi , Dell and hp have less penetration in market for performance oriented laptops in my country , Lenovo with loq and legion have terrible motherboard problems , If Asus is gonna be same then no option left in my country just an observation..
@@hurtlocker9600 oh you’re welcome. As long you’re not buying a hand held gaming pc from asus you’re good. Just don’t buy anyone with an RTX 4090 same as 3090. No manufacturer has been able to cool them well and they won’t be able to provide a 4090 performance in a laptop form factor. It’s just diminishing of returns.
It’s amazing how many people don’t seem to realize that what you’re paying for is portability. Judging a gaming laptop as if it’s a desktop is ridiculous
The 4090 mobile is way under the regular 4090. The biggest problem with this pc is it's bad value to performance. You pay too much to play on a 17" 4k monitor. You can't even see the difference with a screen this size
@@yowlolstfu6759 it's a 4400$ laptop, it's not a mobility question if you want mobility buy a 1000 $ 1080p laptop, and you Can still have 2 1500$ desktops with that.
@yowlolstfu6759 yea exactly I already ha e a 4080 desktop but I wanted a laptop when I have to leave my home as well so the price to performance doesn't matter as much as some might think
@@hurtlocker9600rtx 2050 4GB vram, I've also just recently bought the 2050 version and I'm playing ghost of tsushima at high, it's giving 80+ fps with 8 GB RAM with dlss on, frame gen on and nvidia low latency at boost, looks like a dream with thermals locked below 82°, Highly recommended it if you're looking for a budget gaming laptop.
Just bought the highest version for about 4000€ .. it's the best pece of tech i ever had.. anyone who want gaming beast in macbook design.. screen, speakers, performance.. portability.. everything you ever wished from gaming portable laptop is there. Yeah, you can get more power from 2x heavier laptops.. but trust me, even games that i have to turn the setting little bit down to high or even medium ( there are very very few games) are looking better on Oled than on ips on ultra settings on competetion..
Wow, I really liked the matrix design on the back of past models. It really made the zephyrus look like a distinctly unqiue laptop. Now it kinda looks like a zenbook 😅
At that price someone can build a pc. Trust me, don't buy a laptop that expensive just build a pc and buy a laptop that can help you with everyday work and casual gaming instead.
Correct, but the GPUs in most of these PCs weigh a large portion of the entire laptop. It's a different target demographic, not sure why everyone automatically assumes laptop buyers want something to plug in at a desk and never move.
@@ALmaN11223344 I'm just trying to say that saying "It has better Specs than my desktop", doesn't really tell much about a laptop. Specs are not a good indicator of comparison when lower PC specs can give better performance due to better temp or power usage or etc.
@@bulebajo3059The whole point of Laptops is that they are portable, but the price to performance ratio is terrible. The 4090M compares to a 4070 Ti. There are no official documents of how much a 4090M actually costs, but this website says it‘s 1900$ which is about 1200 dollars more expensive than the 3070 Ti.
Bro After 4 years this laptop would have got more advanced models due to which you wouldn't be able to change your laptop as compared to pc Buy an low end pc and upgrade it to the highest and newest upgrades😶🌫️🙂
ASUS always kills it, I just bought a ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2024) Gaming Laptop (G834JYR). Sadly the 4090 M doesn't come close to my Desktop 4090, so not so sure about it putting most Desktops to shame.
At Zephirus This 4090Laptop is 💩,because TGP is not full power, normal 4080Laptop (175wt) will be much more powerfull and faster then this half power at Zephirus 4090(120-130wt)!)🤣🤦🏻♂️
The laptop has SOC ram, aka you’ll never be able to upgrade it. It has a single m.2, which means you get one drive. I’m not mad at the price, I’m mad that for the price I’m getting the same upgrade ability as a Chromebook
The 4090 used in this laptop is comparatively weak as it is a studio certified graphics card, if u compare this to desktop rtx 4090 u will see a huge difference, infact it can't even keep up with a 4070 ti, also if u compare it to other 4090 gaming laptops, u will see a difference as the other laptops are dedicated for gaming and this one is more focused on productivity. So yeah its even weaker than a mobile 4090 in gaming
4090 that runs like a 4060ti if you're lucky. That is assuming the CPU and GPU don't explode from God awful thermals. Not to mention the throttling you'll get while playing. Yuck
Most of these gaming laptops are made to handle high temperatures since it is a laptop, so throttle shouldn’t be an issue but that’s why there’s warranty too.
@@m_j_ox I'm not saying what I say in a vacuum. I owned a 2080 Max Q MSI GS75 Stealth I can tell you that my laptop throttled routinely playing games like the Witcher 3. It also couldn't be put on my lap, because even if it was running normally unless the fans were set to max it would legit burn after a while. This was WITHOUT gaming. Maybe the technology has improved since then, but to be honest the issue wasn't so much that the ventilation was poorly designed, but rather that MSI cheaped out and did an incredibly poor thermal pasting job with the CPU. The GPU was always in a good temperature because NVIDIA did the thermal pasting but the CPU? 80-90 degrees while gaming always, and that would cause it to throttle. It wasn't like I was trying to run anything on ultra settings. It's better and cheaper in the long run to get a desktop and a productivity laptop like ThinkPad imo.
It runs like a 4070 at least, my 4080 G16 does too. Try and build a 4070 desktop that's remotely as portable as a 4.2lb OLED laptop, and then get jealous that my gainful employment consists of playing video games for 6 hours a day and getting paid to do it.
So this is clearly a sponsored ads a 4090 with wattage of a 4060 is a joke 🤣🤣😂 get a real 4090 laptop with 175 watts vs 90 watts these channels are getting out of control with these lies I swear 😂😂
Battery life on a blender workflow ? My Mac on the same price is like is like get all plugins and textures we have 6 more hours to go. 15 or 16 if you decide to distract and watch some anime.
this mobile 4090 does not perform as well as my desktop 4070 super. sponsored videos always try to make these mobile gpus seem better than what they actually are.
CAP! Eluktronics laptops had G-sync for the longest not only that but a water coolant system that runs water through the laptop and not only that, but has 300Hz
Yeah, the SDX owners can have fun playing Solitaire and Space Pinball from XP on their dogshit Adrenos, I'll be skating through Cyberpunks DLC at work instead of being a productive member of society on the G16 4080 at Ultra settings. LOL
Yup, and you can take it places to play games and not look like a neckbeard lugging 50lbs of electronics without a display. It's a 4.2lb portable console killer, desktop killers in the era of 350w GPUs is an unreasonable ask.
