This right here is another reason I NEED to open my own bird sanctuary here in Florida. I already have 5 rescued parrots. I plan on taking MANY MANY more in that need a great home. Even my username should say how obssesed I am with parrots. I research every waking hour of the day how to give a parrot the BEST life possible. I OWE it to my rescues. I’m currently figuring out the finances to get a place like this up and running to submit to the government for a grant. This has been my DREAM for YEARS! After this I want to open a horse sanctuary as well. But a bird sanctuary is my #1 priority. Something like this would NOT be work to me taking care of animals. I already own 12 on my farm( all domesticated pets). I’d take on upwards of 100+ with the acreage I own even buying land to do so. I’m ENDLESSLY feeding and taking care of animals so I may as well make it my career. To be surrounded by love like this would be MY heaven on earth and I’d make it heaven to EVERY parrot I’d take on. Enrichment, toys, love, food etc. just writing this comment is filling my heart with SOOOO much love I’m so excited. This NEEDS to happen. I MUST rescue more parrots.

The bird, ( not sure about this guy) is a water bird called a Moorhen. we get them on our lakes and waters here in the UK.

Awesome! Huge set up for the birds. Certainly reminds you of Jurassic Park. But the birds do not seem to be happy and playful like when they are pets. Probably their natural selves.

But what if any of the species of these birds need to migrate somewhere according to the season or so🤔🤔🤔

The bird you were unsure of at 2:19 appears to be a Common Moorhen. This is an amazing facility.

The bird you didn't know is a Pukeko! Native to New Zealand (where i'm from). They're like a type of swamp hen. We actually have something similar over here called Zealandia but the birds are free to come and go as they please.

More information would make this informative and interesting. Like, how much work goes into feeding all the ones that need their food prepared? 3000 is a hell of a lot of birds.

The bird , you are not sure about,We call that bird" water hen" in our local language. It's mostly live in shallow waters, small lakesand mostly hides in the bushes

How do they keep the birds from eating the plants?? I only have plants safe for birds but my birbs are always chewing on them 🥲 I've seen several plants toxic to birds (by the way, these monstera deliciosa are amazing! No sign of the birds trying to snack on them), how is that possible?!
