Boeing have become a joke! 2 more years for this aircraft! I bet most of these will be differed. The freighter will be popular but airlines can see problems in delivering these and hoping business will pick up after the pandemic. They have this as an excuse for not needing them. The 737 max and dreamliner issues have caused a big dent in Boeing that I can see the 777x will have something wrong with it hence the long delay in releasing it

@poke4529 2 года назад
It doesn't take a day for an aircraft to be ready for the market, with all the certification and last minute modification, it require alot of work for industrial engineers building the production chain, technicians, aeronautical engineers. If they release it early, there is going to be some problems, you are going to criticize, if they dont release it, you still criticize. Please stop, you dont know how much work there is for a single plane to be made.
@bikerbeast82
@bikerbeast82 2 года назад
@@poke4529 I do agree it takes time and Boeing have had a lot of that. But it can take a day for someone to change their mind and go with another provider if they are not getting a quality service. Too many issues recently with Boeing including 787 issues and 737 max crashes. These dent a reputation

what is so special for B777X. is it the price or do some airlines only prefer Boeing. I live in U.K and as people know we make all Airbus wings and Rolls Royce engines. We do appreciate that Rolls Royce had some problems with an engine; I am not sure if It is Trent 1000. anyway, Pratt & Witney also have had some problems. seems most commenters on here prefer Boeing jets.

If Emirates uses the 2-3-2 arrangement in business class, as it currently does with the older 777s, they'll lose customers to other operators. AA's 777s are already far more comfortable, with a 1-2-1 arrangement. Every seat has direct aisle access. Dozens of other airlines offer essentially the same arrangement.

Honestly why have Emirates still persisted with 2-3-2 Business class on the 777? The product might be nice but 2-3-2 is garbage. The inconvenience of having to walk across people or others across you must be annoying. Particularly if its strangers. 1-2-1 or even 1-1-1 as Lufthansa are going with has been the way for a while.

British Airways will probably use the 777X to replace their 777-200s - I don’t blame them. I think that the 777X will get a lot more orders post the Dubai Airshow. I feel like this would be a great plane for Turkish Airlines (although simply refitting their 77Ws with a slightly more modern cabin would be more financially viable) or the major US Carriers…

Gut feeling from a BA Pilot is that the 777-9 will be the A380 replacement plus the 747s in the super high-J config. A350-1000 is replacing the Mid-J 747s. The 777-200 long term replacement is yet to be identified but with more options on A350s on the books I think the A350-9 will fill this role.

It would be cheaper for Talace Private Limited (a Tata Sons Private Limited owned company) to buy additional B787-9's and possibility B787-10's considering Air India already has 27 B787-8's and only has 3 B777-200lr's and 13 B777-300er's. Having an all B787 fleet would save on operating costs and give them operational flexibility.

I dont trust Boeing any more. I would not go in one until they have shown no issues a few years of flying with no problems at all. Boeing went from well engineered planes to a mere DIY shop. The Max desaster, the 787 issues and the very long delay shows just one thing. They dont know, what they are doing any more. Thats when an engineering company is run by Wall Street Bankers. It will take decades to put it back to the quality side. I would rather board a Russian jet from Sowiet times, than going on a newer Boeing.

But once the 35 orders of 777-8X cancelled by Emirates will be problematic and questionable as the -8X is worth going on for Production as hardly any orders are picking up for this model by Other Airliners and if this is the case then most probably 777-10X the Proprsed 450 seater replacement model for Airbus A380 won't see the Light of the day so hopefully this doesn't happen , -8X and -10X also get to Production with firm orders
@satirthsarthak6887
@satirthsarthak6887 2 года назад
The reason for Emirates to roll back its Boeing 777X orders from 150 to 115 is not just Frustration but also "uncertainty of Boeing 777-8X" (35 orders where of this model which was revoked) even being going ahead for Production due to the delays of the Boeing 777-9X which is the Base Model (115 orders stand firm)

for the first time since I watch your videos, I am stunned with these figures....Since the launch of that project, so much happened in the aviation industry. After the pandemic and with new narrowbody planes like the A321 XLR, some airlines are reconsidering their widebody orders. Some are even struggling to avoid bankrupcy and are pushing away widebody planes orders. Like Singapore Airlines and Etihad. Some analysts consider the widebody market will recover the 2018 level not before 2026...About Emirates, I have the feeling that they are considering to swap each of the 777X into 787's and or A350's. So the 320 orders figure could fall under 200 pieces. The delays cost a fortune to Boeing. No delieveries mean no cash. The future cargo version will replace the 777-8 passenger version and make some profit. Some years after the A350F. 10 years ago, the industry was so sure it would make a splash. But I'm afraid the program will need 20 years to become profitable.After the 737 MAX fiasco and the 787 repetitive quality issues.... The question today is about the freighter market. Will it replace the widebody passenger planes? So for Boeing the 777-9 will be too big. My guess is that Qatar Airways will remain by far the largest customer. Just to make Airbus pissed off..

All very nice and interesting/informative. But let’s see what happens to travel post covid. Everyone zooms now so business travel may take awhile to bounce back. Let’s not even consider the possibility of a recession or similar looming with the inflation rate starting to rise. Boeing scored an horrendous own goal with the 737max ng rollout.
