@@MCECentral Well, it was (accidentally) revealed that the character, Morgan Elsbeth (who dueled Ahsoka Tano in "The Jedi") is the last surviving Daughter of Dathomir. I'm hoping/expecting Dave Filoni to give some of her backstory in The Bad Batch, since her financial prowess is what helps The Empire grow so rapidly, after The Clone Wars and Order 66.

Yea I can see that. I think a bit more mud, wetness and definitely saliva would set it off. The only thing keep it from being movie quality is the small details of paint. As a sculpt this thing is full gorilla awesome!

@@MCECentral It's certainly a very impressive piece, as you say, if It was wetter and dirtier It would be sensational! I don't understand all of the moaning around it's construction and the material used. It all makes perfect sense to me, why collectors think that polystone is some sort of high end material is beyond me. It can only be because they equate plastic as poor quality and need to justify their expensive statues as being made of something semi precious. These things are mass produced, we're hardly talking about the work of a master craftsman. As a collector myself If like the look of a piece and It delivers the enjoyment I want then I don't give a damn what It's made of!

@@stukavonferno8858 yeah I think it was a good idea they did PVC..... if this was polystone it would have been hella heavy.... which would have driven up shipping costs and give way to breakages.

@@badman7996 According to the SS spec, some of this piece is fibreglass, which seems like an odd material choice for a collectible! I agree, using polystone for this would've been total folly.

It’s definitely fiberglass. I poked my finger with the fiber weave that was sticking out. I’ve seen the comments about it being plastic PVC. The funny thing is when you look up the definition for fiberglass, resin, or polystone... it’s all a form of liquid plastic with other additives that give it the properties that it has. But don’t worry it’s definitely not PVC

@@MCECentral Really appreciate you responding back. Yeah, I thought as much. If it was plastic, it would feel something like the Sideshow V1 Jabba. So I guess every component of it is made out of fiberglass and not just the main body. It's so weird that from the very beginning, no one was talking about the five chain rings missing from the shackle. I was really hoping they wouldn't forget to add that extra few cents worth of material. But now that the final product doesn't have it (and the femur bone would've been a great inclusion), it's gonna be hard matching that chain considering it's gonna be like pinky ring sized pieces. Weird they call it deluxe when it's not even complete lol. Regardless, it's a grail item for me...and _by far_ the most money I've ever spent on a single item in 30 years of collecting.

@@Chalor. oh yea I agree with that. I think I’m gonna try to make the chain out of foam and work some magic with the paint. Either that or I’ll 3d model and print it out. Maybe even make a femur bone to lay on the pit floor. There is a few things when you compare it to the Regal Robot that may be easy to add in just to give it a little more love. When I finish it, I’ll make another video showing the before and after

@@AlphaTrion92 I was going to do that or get the Sideshow one that came with the first Jedi Luke. Definitely prefer that one with looking more realistic and being more in scale, compared to the super huge Hasbro one. But, I passed on a chance to get it for about $30. One of those things that I would be more hyped to get if I had the Rancor in hand. I'll probably just go the Hasbro route. I did find some rings to go on the shackle at Michael's. Good color and size, but they're just regular narrow round rings. The ones in the movie look like thick washers or something. Pretty much no way to find out what they are, and I'm sure they were cut to be linked together.

@@MCECentral So I got my Rancor the other day, and immediately after pulling the packaging away from the head, I ever so gently moved the earring to see if I could push it down...then it snapped right off lol. I didn't know it was just a piece of brittle plastic glued over an ear hole, and not actually a ring. So I grabbed a ring and some wire to make my own more movie accurate one (like the Regal Robot version) that'll hang like an actual earring lol. Then just have to touch of the area with some paint, and I think it's gonna look pretty damn good. Just wondering if you have got around to making the chain and femur bone; or if you made your own earring like I'm doing?
