The Asia’s largest wood pellet production line is located in Vietnam completed by GEMCO Energy Machinery Co., Ltd. This biomass wood pellet line is equipped with 32 sets of BPM508 ring die pellet mills, and the maximum capacity of this pellet plant up to 32ton/h; each pellet mill’s capacity can reach 1.5 t/h. And the pelletizing material is wood chips.

Considering wood pellet market’ seasonal change, this biomass pellet plant is planed to achieve 20 t/h, and the rest 8 wood pellet mills are used as standbys. 8 more pellet machines make the wood pellet production more flexible according to seasonal needs.

As a developing country in Asia, Vietnam has a strong demand for biomass, which is a clean, cheap and renewable fuel for heat and power generation. A research has shown that about 70% of rural population in Vietnam (Vietnam has a 61.3 million rural population, which is 72.9% of its whole population) is depended on biomass as a cooking fuel. Moreover, there is also a large scale demand of heat for drying purposes, which is required in the wood processing industry, the agricultural industry, brick making industry, cement industry, beer breweries, pottery, etc.
