Of all the actors they could’ve picked to play General Thaddeus E. “Thunderbolt” Ross, Harrison Ford is the best possible pick, because William Hurt cannot be replaced by just anybody without cheapening his prior performances, but Harrison ford has been playing Ross’ level of give-a-damn in every interview he’s given for the last 40 years.
Y’know what I love about you guys? No matter what you’re watching, it could be awesome or it could be crap, at the end of the day you’re just two buds who like to watch shit together. A lot of these reaction folks could learn a lot from just that simple idea. Keep it up guys!
@@calebbonebrake6486 Out of those three, only 2 focused on the whole 'We need to save the President' schtick. The 3rd was essentially Gerard Butler's character being compromised.
I don't know if yall noticed, but when they showed Cap fighting in the air, Tiamat's finger was in the background. Looks like we're finally getting back to the Eternals events
I think that Isaiah is taking revenge, i can tottAlly see Ross as part of the Experiments that Isaiah was subjected while being Incarcerated. And probably knowing about the new Red Hulk Thing (could be a mix of Super soldier Serum and Gamma Radiation) from The Leader. Using him like a Pawn in his Scheme.
If commander Ross became president…and commander & Chief Ross is also Red Hulk…Than does that mean the UN now has to classify the president as a Nuclear Weapon? Making the president of America an atomic weapon is a very comic book thing to do lol.
I just watched New Rockstars video, and I can't believe they are actually making the celestial that rose out of the ocean as a major plot point in this movie.
@@crimsonghoul8983 I don’t know that I’m 100% convinced they are using Tiamat, Its definitely something they could use, But I honestly like the theory that its Krakoa Island. If they are introducing Adamantium (and more Mutant stuff) than that would be cool to see. It’s been established that the X-Men are in a neighboring universe (and there are rumors that The Fantastic 4 are set in that same one)…But Kamala is a mutant in this one, so maybe they do have Krakoa here too.
@@JonathanMartinez-ei4up Not sure if going with the mutant angle would be a good idea. Just sticking with Adamantium as a new resource over which countries are fighting is a simpler concept to deal within this movie. I hope they keep it limited to Red Hulk and Winter soldiers with the setting being what they find in Tiamut.
@@crimsonghoul8983 They've already introduced mutants in multiple projects, and adamantiums connection with wolverine & X-Men is such a staple in pop culture that it uncomplicates further exploration. Honestly a captain America movie is a perfect platform to do more stuff with a mutant angle (hell x-men'97 did a lot of ground work over the summer). But, it is very likely they're gonna try and salvage the mess that was the eternals by using Tiamaut in this...they invested a lot in it unfortunately. I would still prefer Krakow, but wakanda & atlantice have cornered the market on hidden nations lol.
also yessss on the Jack Ryan/Olympus Fallen vibe! and i'm here for the "lose the moustache or lose the election" line. twice President H. Ford [i still randomly burst out "get off my plane!" at times]
I thought at first that Isaiah might be being controlled or someone was disguised as him, and then I remembered that Ross was probably behind or involved in all the despicable things that were done to him, which is why he’d want to get his revenge.
THIS was the BEST REACTION to this trailer that I've seen yet !!! 😀 If you see Jay dancing in his seat saying "WE BACK, BABY" !!!.... you KNOW you've GOT to go see this. 😆😂😆💖☺😀👍👏👏🔥🔥🔥
To anyone who may not have noticed... The dead Celestial (Tiamut) that we saw in Eternals comes into play in this movie. The scene with the rockets firing, it's in the background. The scene with Sam flying, it's in the background.
The Cap/Ross "different actor/same character" nod goes back to Rhodey and Tony when Cheadle came in. Marvel handled both recasts perfectly. I made a joke about how Harrison Ford's line about shaving the stache or not getting the job should be made known to Henry Cavill. They didnt get it. 😢
@pReviewd You guys missed the shot of and the voice of Samuel Sterns aka The Leader from Norton's THE INCREDIBLE HULK film. Also, Liv Tyler is supposed to be returning as Betty Ross.
This becomes all the more interesting since the Thunderbolts movie title has an asterisk next to the name, meaning it will probably change shortly after Cap4 comes out. Though as a digital release person, I hope they wait until at least after that point to start the marketing.
Theory: The Super Solder serum was derived from Bruce's original formula. And the Red Skull is what happened when it went sorta right sorta wrong. Maybe we're seeing a similar situation here..hence a red hulk.
Y’all didn’t mention or didn’t notice the leader talking from the original Hulk movie. They didn’t show him, but he did talk as part of the narration. Rumor is he might be behind it all. Remember, he was trying to help Hulk not to become the Hulk. So he knows everything about the Hulk. And he also knows abomination. and where is y’all’s reaction to Agatha all along?
so this is me: i got up this morning, switched on for work and decided to check my socials to see what's up. i saw the trailer and the squeal that escaped my mouth .... listen .... i am so VERY READY for this movie. for all of it. and funny enough, it makes me feel excited for Thunderbolts too. ready for it. [also, heeey Adam! welcome home; hope you had a good trip]
@gapsule2326 Should he play a villain or hero, an alien, or a federation captain? The possibilities are endless. If he did, it would help the ratings considerably.
This film feels like "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," turned up to Eleven, I will say objectively though Marvel Studios said in this teaser: "You need to see 'Falcon and The Winter Soldier ' to understand what is going on here." I am on the fence about the involvement of Red Hulk, but I will hold my criticisms until after I see the film.
