I'm so glad they didn't use him, I feel like Grimlock wouldn't have agreed to that way of life. I'm almost 100% sure it was Hasbro. I think Hasbro with the new publishing house they're working with is going all PG in this new era of comics.

Tbh I they haven't stated what universe this takes place in. I'm gonna assume it's apart of the 2019 continuity combined with TF RID.

That would be a possibility, not gonna lie. It would also make things between him and Shib very tense - if she rejects him because of this, it would be very sad and would affirm that the Cybertronian War has brought nothing but pain to all life in the Galaxy. On the other hand, it would be very heartwarming if despite this knowledge, she still chooses to stick by him and considers him her friend.

@@terancetan5503 Well she did watch him violently murder an unarmed Cybertronian in the first comic in front of her plus all of the others he killed. It wouldn’t surprise me if the story ends with Rodimus choosing to end his life as a tribute to his fallen friends and to finally freeing the universe of transformers.

I understand where you are coming from, but I respectfully disagree. First, videos like this don't stop people who truly want to buy the issue. If anything, it might make them aware of the story and inspire them to go purchase and read it for themselves. For example, I'm currently covering the Autocracy trilogy, a story that came out in 2012 from IDW. I've had multiple people tell me they went out and purchased it. Second, when it comes to IDW "not doing well," it could be any number of factors, but their license didn't get renewed because Hasbro didn't want to. If you read comments they made in a recent interview, you can tell they want to go in a different direction. Finally, about being copyright struck. Many comic channels have done this for years and I don't read the entire issue verbatim. I just explain and highlight key moments. I appreciate your comment and hope you sub so we can have more conversations.

Since you want to resort to cynicism instead of utilizing deductive reasoning, the creator was acknowledging your point. And now a counterpoint: I still buy print comics and it is so difficult to get complete series from comic shop back issue lots and this format is an excellent way to fill a collector on the parts of the story they may have missed. And there are so many lines of books out there it is impossible for a working person to keep up. Catching a video like this could introduce a whole new audience to a storyline they would otherwise miss if they are using pull lists from their local comic shops. One more premise to consider before I go, and I promise to believe you will actually read responses to your comment. I am thankful for this presentation of story arcs because I like to see the art and read the stories. This channel allows me to preview the writer and artist before committing to a title. As a consumer that will spend a $100 a month on comics and that is getting me less each year, it's nice to be a more selective collector and not waste money on titles that don't appeal to me. Otherwise, til are one!
