This video is our tribute to The Arena, a game which changed our lives. For us, Arena was more than just a place to shoot cannons in a video game. Its where we went to fight, sharpen our skills, and be notoriously competitive. But it’s also where we met rivals who turned into incredible friends. Though it’s tough for us to say goodbye to Arena, we had fun getting every sweaty pirate we knew on the Sea of Thieves together to create this video.

Dude, whoever handled the camera work for this video executed it *very* well. SoT is not an easy game to pull off complex action shots, but there's an impressive variety of them in this footage. You've done the Arena proud.

i come back to this video every few weeks, this is just the Peak of perfection right here, the clips , the song just hits perfectly on every note , i miss this game mode man , Hourglass just isn't the same , 1v1's are cool but the all out big brawls were goddamn amazing ... RIP to arena

As someone who never got to experience the joys of the Arena (I started playing couple of days before it closed, and didn't even know it was closing) this sent shivers down my spine... and made me all the sadder that I never got to try my hand at it. Amazing work and RIP to DeMarco.

Those words from DeMarco at the end hit hard… Rare should listen to them again and remember why they gave us The Arena in the first place. How valuable this mode is to the game. “You came here for something new. The spirit of competition runs through your veins, and who am I to disappoint. I introduce to the Sea of Thieves, THE ARENA!” And who are you to disappoint? You are the Sea of Thieves developers.

First time re watching this video since it came out. Still one of my fav cinematic videos of all time. And it brings back memories of standing on the middle middle ship with everyone playing instruments as arena drew its final breath

Going to Sea Dog's Rest and hearing the music playing from inside the tavern knowing you can never go back inside is probably the most melancholy thing in the game now. Also talking to Lesedi outside the Arena doors who replaced whatever the other NPC's name was that used to stand there telling you that the Arena is gone now kinda hits different.

Beautiful ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 The Arena was special….. that the vast majority of pirates didn’t experience. I never achieved that 50 Sea Dog rank but I would periodically drop in with friends trying to show them how to improve on their PVP & PVE encounters with ship to ship combat. Hopefully these new Sea Forts can bring back some of the magic of naval combat, especially during a server alliance. It’s a shame that we never had those Forts in The Arena, like a capture the flag style game. Raid the rival teams fort, steal their loot/flag. That could have added a new dimension to The Arena.

One of best if not THE best Arena cinematic ever made. Amazing work. Insane how a video can bring back so many memories from years ago. I'm forever grateful for Arena and the people I have met there. I wasn't much of an Arena player in the year now that I played and I now regret that ! I first tried Arena when they made the announcement and I actually REALLY liked it, I'm only at level 20 and that's another regret.... This compilation actually brought me to tears VERY VERY VEEERY WELL DONE !!!

This is a great edit. Having made it to LSD/TSD/Good Boy and now the Arena being gone this makes me feel like some kind of war hero or veteran. I like the edit because it makes the game look so much more intense than I've seen it when playing. This is the direction I think the trailer for the Arena opening should have been and the player base I wish Rare would try to reach- intense, glorious, etc. instead of cowardly, pve, tales.. For the veteran players looking for action and good fights it's so much harder with the close of the arena. Hopefully they have something new in mind to replace it one day

Holy shit, this gave me chills. Sadly, by the time I first started playing Sea of Thieves, Arena was on it's way out, so I was still too new to the game to feel brave enough to try Arena mode while it was still available. REALLY wish I had, because the more I see gameplay of it the more fun it looked. And this tribute to it is absolute cinematic ART. You're amazingly talented.

@@agatak1779 You have to know that the Arena is the "e-sport" part of "Sea of Thieves" and it got deleted from the game a month ago 😭 also the arena was played mainly by the most ancient SoT players so basically they trew away their most fidels players. But if you want to buy the game im sure you will enjoy and have fun on the adventure mode 😁 So join us to become a Pirate Legend 🏴‍☠️👑

This video is WILD! Some of the best game capture and staging I've seen in a Sea of Thieves video and absolutely fantastic editing. I always struggle with capturing action on Sea of Thieves because of the limitations, but you had shot after shot of intense action that was put together so well. Phenomenal job

While I didn't played arena mush, I will sure miss it. The NAL will never be same again sadly. It was a glory to it's end... but I have a feeling that the sea dogs aren't done yet. A new adventure awaits for them, a new horizon to strive forward to.
