The animation of the dinosaurs in this video is magnificent. They look completely natural, not doing anything sensational, but just going about their day-to-day existance. I love it. Of course, these animations were not all made for this specific video, which would render it too far expensive for a free service like RU-vid, so we have to make allowance the scenes that show dinosaurs with modern people in modern dress (0:33), or with human habitatiions like walls, buildings, and in one case, some sort of vehicle (22:50 - 23:03k), but overall, this is the sort of education that was impossible in my youth (long before the first home computer, never mind the Internet). Will it usher in a more educated generation - or a more entertained one, full of inaccurate theories about how thiings happened?

Dinosaurs could be one of the great filters. If evolution progresses as it did on Earth, it’s possible the universe has more planets with dinosaurs still doing their thing. They were around for over a hundred million years, but for the asteroid, could well still be here.

Why did edvolution retain the fore-limbs of many dinosaurs (like the T-rex that we all like to refer to)? Could they use these tiny limbs for anything? They must have been a disadvantage to the animal, because they could be injured - but were they any advantage to the animal? What important use did they have?

@@DownhillAllTheWayI may be wrong here, but I remember several documentaries saying the advantage was their ability to run faster being on two legs instead od four, and just increased agility overall. The shorter hands are what make them able to stand and move.

@@maymarsh9117 Well, I'm sure those little legs had some advantage that outweighed the disadvantage, but I also have two legs, and my dog has four, and when it comes to speed, there's no contest despite him being only a fifth of my size. Birds don't have legs to help them get up, but they do so without difficulty - and even animals that normally have four legs are quick to learn how to get around with only two. Here''s a dog that has only two left legs, and I would have expected that to make it difficult for him to get up, but it doesn't seem that way ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UXPJJeISuXo.html I guess this will impact him in later life. PS. I hope you read this as a discussion - not as an argument.
