www.playstatio... CG cinematic-style action trailer for The Last Guardian featuring Trico, the boy, and suits of armor. Pre-order The Last Guardian at www.playstatio...
My husband has waited 6+ something years for this game and the moment I saw this trailer I preordered the collector's edition for him. I didn't grow up with these games (I somehow skipped them) but I am so happy for those who have been waiting for this, the long time fans, and I am proud of Ueda and Team ICO.
I cannot WAIT to play this game! I don't care about graphics or frame rates or how long the development time was, I adore ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. I still have the fondest memories of buying ICO, rushing home and playing it for 8 hours straight from start to finish. I really hope the Last Guardian is up there with those two classics. My heart might not be able to take it if the bird dog dies.. :(
I'm getting this game definitely, this game is so different from others. Just like when Ico was introduced. It doesn't hold your hand telling you what to do its up to the player to figure out. Just knowing its the same development team from Ico makes me hyped. I never played Shadow of Colossus. As a kid I was stuck on the part on Ico when you have to release Yorda from the Bird Cage. I never sadly got to complete it, but currently trying to pass it after 17 years have pass on. PS2 emulator is what i'm using. I'm going to feel like a young kid again with this game :).
I love the "Not Actual Gameplay" notification. This still looks like a game that should have came out around the end of the PS2 cycle. Hopefully, it's good for those that preordered 4 years ago.
tips: balancing two barrels on top of each other will get you an achievement when Trico knocks the armor down without killing them, the boy can pull their helmets off to finish the job (this also gets you an achievement) you can change what you and Trico look like if you're stuck, look up, or use Trico's tail when you're activating the armor using helmets, you can let go so you get a head start to safety Trico poops
It's not an open world, but, those ruins are massive & all the areas can be fully explored. You just have to figure out how to gain access to all the openings & hidden areas. lol
I love SoTC, but it's open world is pointless and pain to explore. This will likely be huge exploreable interconnected map like ICO and Dark Sous 1(minus locations variety haha)
It's open world had a point. It needed to signify the loneliness of the entire landscape. The fact that Dormin had pieces of his soul scattered so far and wide in creatures (read: colossi) that the priest (and his brethren) hoped never to be bested.
@@BigWelshMike yeah and there were originally going to be more colossi that could’ve filled in the map more and would’ve had new areas. The stonehenge structure close to the doors leading to Malus was originally an arena for one of the unused colossi nicknamed “Sirius” and he resembles a boar. The stonehenge was supposed to be used to wedge Sirius in between it in order to hop on his back, now it’s just there as some kind of point of interest. Apart from that, I don’t mind the emptiness, I normally just wander (get it?) around in specific areas and take in the scenery,
@@critterc0rner Aye… I remember reading about the things that didn’t make it into the game. As utterly wonderful as the game is, it’s nice to daydream and think “what if..?” 😊
For some reason I get a 'How to Train Your Dragon' vibe from this game, and I mean it in the best way possible because I love those movies. I'll make sure to pick this up!
It feels like when you finally see something that you were interested but it's something that would never happen again in some kind of luxury in the middle of joy and excitement for the human kind. Yeah. A lot.
I have this theory that the title of the game "The Last Guardian" isn't actually referring to the creature...but to the boy we play as. These games have usually had a small twist like that.
ihsan omer maybe even better? lmao. not even close. it's the same art style and that's what makes it look somewhat similar. Definitely not even close to the same graphical fidelity and detail though
whyyyyy am i tearing up from a trailer?! could it be happiness that its almost finally here, or because you can just see the connection these 2 will have and expect something tragic......
I want this game to do well, but seeing as ff15 is coming out before this I've lost most of my interest in the last guardian for now. It's unfortunate that it was delayed I think, I'd say I'm not the only one who will get final fantasy 15 and give tlg a pass for now.
I'm ready to cry like a baby with this game, I don't know why, but I feel like we'll fall in love with these too and then see one of them die... High hopes for this game.
This is obviously set in the Ico universe, I think the Collossi from SotC were actually guardians and they were obviously (nearly) wiped out and this beast is obviously the last one. Just a theory!!
so i looked deeper into this game and apparently its the boy telling his story about meeting Trico and how they became friends. So basically its the boy reminiscing about the past. this means Trico dies at the end of the game.
I think I'm going to buy a PS4 just so I can play this game. The let's plays I've been watching have shown me that it's everything I ever wanted in a game and more.
