He was in my class at school ( Father Hills Secondary School) i remember him coming onto class ( his first day) dressed as a Teddy Boy. He was forever drawing pictures of Teddy Boys and rock bands !) RIP Cavan
@@SCIENCE11114 Strange that a lot of lads of Cavan"s & my generation had similar rebel ideals ,I too went to senior school in a green Ted suit ,along with a handful of others - much to my new headmasters absolute shock ,as I don"t think the old square had ever seen a Ted .I have been a roadie for quite a long time and met Cavan & his group many times while on the road ,mostly in motorway cafes .When the Teds & rock n roll + rockabilly revival came along in the 80s it was a great time , I remember driving for Chevrolet from Blackpool ,we went here there & everywhere from way up north to around London ,once backing Screaming Lord Sutch who we knew from his short time living in Sheffield ,my own old town ! . But Cavan really was a "one off" ,not the best band around ,but the most original & fun ,a bit like Freddie Fingers Lee . Still listen to the original vinyl records - it brings it all back and I am unlikely to forget Cavan as he died on my birthday on 15/2/2020 . Will treasure the photo"s Cavan .
The U.K. has lost one of our treasures, truly great man who inspired me as a young Ted back in 70's. Rock In Peace Cavan and thanks for the great memories and music.
Crazy Cavan - Newport ‘s finest!!🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴 RIP the original neo-Ted. You will be missed worldwide.
Got into caven when i was 14..here i am blasting the man out of my guitar speaker & im now 54..Caven has passed on like his heros. Went to see Caven on many occasions way back in the eighties and spoke with him at many venues. Thanks for all the memories and great nights. When I die, bury me deep Rock n roll records at my feet Gramaphone needles in my hand So I can rock my way out of this lonesome land.
Thank you & RIP, sir. You inspired a wee boy of 9-10 years with your music. In Finland, of all places. Music maker all my life, I would give Crazy Cavan lots of credit & thanks for being one of the reasons I started playing. Or wanted to tape music off a radio. All of it. Music is Us.
I will never forget the short chat I had with Cavan outside my local ballroom. I stopped to greet this great man and he answered with the same respect I had for him. Rock in peace, Wildest cat in town

Cavan Grogan 18th February 1949 - 15th February 2020 thank you for the Video ...it was nice to meet you in Finland regards Louise Barrel ( Manager Crazy Cavan 'n' the Rhythm Rockers )
Bon Voyage Mr. Cavan Crogan , I saw you as Grazy Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers at some concerts in the 80s and 90s. That was always the highlight of the Rockabilly Weekenders. Thank you for your passion for rock'n roll. You are the real King of the Teddy boy´s Unforgotten from us Teddy Boy´s. R.I.P.
Crazy Cavan at skegness rock N roll festival was the best time ever for me got to see a legend also met with Ron sunglasses king of the Ted's long live rock n roll he will be truly. Missed R.I.P cavern
For his final word, Cavan gave a pretty good account of himself. I'm not going to pretend that the Rhythm Rockers were ever my favourite band musically (far from it) but I always had huge respect for them for being doggedly unique and defiantly consistent. Never an off-the-peg number, this band. I would attribute them with the same 'punk (do-it-yourself) ethos' that Cavan attributes to psychobilly bands in this interview. And I wouldn't necessarily attribute likewise to any and every psychobilly band. Sorry to see you go, auld fella. You had style right to the end.
I saw him and the boys twice in 1980. The first time at the Rock 'n' Roll Weekender in Caister, then at The Embassy Suite in Colchester. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I even have his autograph somewhere. RIP great entertainer.
Cavan's 1st anniversary is approaching 15/02/2021. If you can here me up there in heaven boyo, thanks for the music, thanks for the memories & Keep on Rockin'!! ✝️✝️✝️
I used to see posters of gigs from all sort of bands in 1970s in London and crazy Cavan was one that always stuck out and gutted now I didn't go to one gig , Steve gibbons band was another always on posters . R.l.p

Dear Sir, i send you the last greetings from me. You influenced my life with your music. And I want to thank you for that. Hopefully we will see us again in the rockabilly heaven and have a glass of booze together. Rock'n Roll is never to loud, but sometimes to quiet.
Eben habe ich erfahren das Cavan Grogan Tod ist,ich bin außer mir und völlig entsetzt.Einer der wenigen der den richtigen Rock And Roll und Rockabilly hoch gehalten haben.Ich bin fassungslos.
