It would be legendary If Oda manage to make people laugh and cry at the same time in the end like Roger did.

This felt like watching One Piece finale.

While watching this episode it actually felt like this was the last episode of One Piece and when Roger said Laugh Tale it literally gave me goosebumps

It's genuinely so sad that Roger missed out on seeing Joyboy. He was both too late and too early and had no chance for either but that was his wish.

When they reveal the "joke" of laugh tale in 5-6 years, It better be funny af or I'm gonna be disappointed.

Has no one noticed that even tho roger knew he was going to die he was living his life like it would never end i want to be like his someday

I started watching OP in 2002 when it was aired on Greek Tv. Now I’m 29. Getting married in a week. We waited so long for this moment. I’m just jealous my kids are going to be able to watch it in one go, and I will be there watching with them. EDIT: Didn't expect so many good wishes. I wish you all nakama the best in your adventures! Marriage is going well!

This episode felt like a mortality check. Made me realise that this story...this journey, that so many of us are a part off, be it since the beginning or joined along the way here, that so many of us grew up with and were along for this ride...this story is actually wrapping up and will come to an end in the near future. For sometime i didn't even think i wouldn't be able to see One Piece to the end. But now that it's closing in on us i don't want it to ever end :,)

I bet the message was: *Congrats, you’ve crossed the whole world in ONE PIECE*

I don't know why my eyes are in tears, the feeling of watching Roger getting the One Piece, amazing. But this moment with Luffy will be more incredible; We are not ready for it.

Oden said "ill be happy if people talk about me over a drink". In this scene Roger says "its such a funny story." The One Piece has to be a poneglyph that Joyboy wrote about his story so people can talk about it when they arrive at the island. This is probably why Roger and the crew laughed as well because Joyboys story parallels theirs and Joyboy lived in a world that was free and endless. In this sense the One Piece is something physical, its a poneglyph but its a sacred treasure because its the only transcription of Joyboys adventure. Like Luffys hat, he probably left an item there that has sentimental value next to the poneglyph. This would be similar to Whitebeards and Aces grave where whiteboards staff and aces hat are their items. This is just my assumption from the details we've been given so far. Excited to hear what message joyboy left. Also hope this isn't a spoiler haha

The replacement voice actor for Roger has grown on me, but I wish the original had survived to this arc. His voice was legitimately epic and he left an impression even in just little snippets.

If One Piece was actually about roger and his crew, this could of been really the ending.

Y'know, the idea that someday we'll reach the end is... exciting. Just, the thought that, someday: -Brook will sing Bink's Sake to an old friend, Laboon; -Robin will finally figure out the Void Century, showing the truth for the whole world; -Franky will fulfill his dream, finishing the journey on the Thousand Sunny; -Zoro will beat Mihawk, fulfilling his promise to Kuina, becoming the strongest Swordsman; -Sanji will find the fabled All Blue; -Nami will create a World Map, registering every island in all of the Blues; -Usopp will become a great warrior of the seas, capable of telling extraordinary stories that, for once, aren't lies; -Chopper will become a renowned Doctor, capable of healing anyone, no matter the illness; -And, of course, Monkey D. Luffy will become the free-est man in all of the seas, throwing a party that, even if for just a moment, would unite the entire world. Just... the thought of all that eventually becoming a reality... Damn am i crying?

ahh, reminds me of when i first read 967. The sheer shock caused by realizing raftel was a 20 year old misunderstanding and oda not doing anything to stop that misunderstanding.

Can we all just agree that One Piece is the best at invoking emotion within us? Ace's death scene, Brooks back story, Kyros, and a whole others including this.

This episode was nostalgic af. They played the first ending it brings tears to my eyes 😭

I have this feeling that the 100 void century started because of a heartbreak, between joyboy and Imu(or her predecessor). that treasure was a gift from joy boy to her, but there was a big misunderstanding of some sort. Thats why the first ark is called romance dawn.

I always come back to this every once in a while, it always gives me chills and makes me tear up.

We've never been that close to the One Piece, it's sitting in front of us, just blurred , it took 968 episodes but we're here !
