They have decided to finished it at season 5 which they have started filming now. But that's it then finished for good. It seems to me all the good shows get canceled and the crap ones keep coming out every year.

I liked the characters but no the story he literally worked against his family and like they all died. And h even kinda forgot about his Dane family. And the fact he keep coming back to Alfred Avery fucking time that Alfred try’s to kill him just want kill my self every time he dose that.

Honestly the performances in this season are breathtaking . I'm not overly emotional , but I admit to welling up during the final exchange between Alfred and Uthred! What a show !!

The last Kingdom trumps G.O.T. Because ,You can't expect "ensaring and glittery VFX " to act as a lifeguard , when the ship ( lousy ,intrepid writing / screenplay ) itself is sinking in the turbulent ocean ! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I truly loved this season. this by far was the best season! the relationship between Uhtred and Brida, and the bond and hate relationship between Uhtred and Alfred. I could rewatch this season again and again and never get tired.

Just finished watching episode 1 and it started with a bang! This is my favorite ongoing show right now. Plenty of fight scenes, interesting characters, fast paced plot, engaging dialogue and a surprisingly great soundtrack. I hope more people discover this gem of a show. A masterpiece like this deserves more attention.

Well, you actually can compare this to Vikings obviously since both have the same genre. But I wouldn't say this is 'a lot better than Vikings'. Vikings has great storytelling and pretty much accurate historical facts mate.

No, Vikings has absolutely nothing to do with historical facts, it mixes the attack on Lindisfarne in 793 with the attack on Paris in 845 and the marriage of Rollo and Gisela in 911, only to depict the invasion of the great heathen army while Eckbert is still alive, although Eckbert died in 839 and the great heathen army arrived in Northumbria in 866. So, no, it has nothing to do with history, it is fantasy, inspired by history.

The Last Kingdom instead has a historical background, it beginns in 866 with the fall of Northumbria, the battle of Ethandum was it 878 and the saxons won and the whole thing in the marches with Alfred is accurate too. Moreover, there was really a king named Guthred in Cumbraland around 880, Aethelflaed and Aethelred really married, and in 885, there was really an attack on Lundene. And even Odda and Guthrum existed and Guthrum was baptized. This is a fictional story with a historically accurate background.

Absolutely worth watching, well made, great execution and chemistry between the actors and actress is on the mark. Alexander is well cast as Uhtred . Perfect role for him well done!

I couldn't wait for season 3 and I just finally finished all 10 episodes..and hungry for more. Guess I'll have to watch it all again. And I don't mind at all. I loved every second of it. Can't wait for season 4:)

Ben Nott netflix associated with BBC for the production, just like the bodyguard and peaky blinders. Did u even watch The last kingdom season 1 and 2 when it came out in 2015 and 2016, because i did and it was every week on BBC TWO, It was after 5 or 6 episodes before netflix started showing it. I don’t know why u think the season 3 will be different, but i will also love to see all episodes out.

The 1st half of season 1 started slow. I almost quit coz i thought the script and battle scenes are mediocre. But my God I'm glad I stayed coz it picked up in the 2nd half and after watching season 4, this for me is one of the best netflix series i've seen. The story and the battle scenes are great. The actors played their role very well and the production looked well budgeted. Cant wait for season 5!

Yea.... I realised that some content of netflix is blocked from some countries and available in other like the last kingdom season three is not available in israel but it is in germany..... I dont know why but i hope that they realise that we pay them money for all of there content !!

As the show was originally from BBC and Netflix bought it, there are still licences running, that's why it's currently not available in all countries.
